The staff were friendly. The property was a little dated. But the ocean view was amazing. Definitely needded updating in rooms. Hotel offered breakfadt. Was really good. The 2 pools and lazy river were in good shape. Indoor pool was small. Parking was limitted in the front. Had across the street parking.

We had room 515. When we checked out on 3/5 we were fairly early because storm was coming. We had no hot water. We couldn’t take a shower. I stopped by front desk but didn’t see anyone there. I wanted to tell them about the hot water. One of the reason for the hotel is to get a shower in the morning. I reported it to the hotel and haven’t heard anything from them.

Great Service, OK Property

I'll start by saying I interacted with one person by phone, two people on the front desk, one cleaning person, and two more serving breakfast. All were very helpful, polite, and professional. The staff made it all worth considering a return trip. The property was strange -- spread over three buildings, one down the road, and even more parking lots, it was tough to make sense of. The buildings are showing age. The rooms were clean and beds good, but parts of the room also showed age. A sliding door on ground level would not lock. Kitchenettes were convenient but cabinets and stoves were old and sketchy. Some tv's had cable, others were web-based. The place was kind of random...but great access to the beach and all Myrtle destinations. We got a pretty good rate, but it was off-season. My guess is it would cost too much in season. If they keep investigating in the property, it could be very nice.

The room was reasonably clean and comfortable, once corrections were made (1 bulb working in 3 lamps; plug behind bed not plugged in; lock on door to porch (first floor room) was not working. Room was supposed to be "ocean view"; I was given "last room left" on first floor with door opening to patio adjoining middle of pool. I could see a partial view of the ocean standing up. Noisy maintenance work outside my door and trash piled up near my door for most of the day. Parking lot was being resealed causing access to the place being difficult. Outside of the hotel is distressed and depressing, but honestly the room was OK. I would not go back.

Outdated and Falsely Advertised

The room was not the same room that was depicted on the reservation website. The room is very outdated with a few up to date features. The shower is updated but has no place to put your soap or shampoo. The TV is HUGE and up to date with streaming services. The rest of the room is very outdated and old. The curtains were rusty and hanging off of the window. The beds were not side by side (as depicted in the online picture) and instead, one bed was near the entry door, and then there's a separation of a bathroom and kitchenette and then the other bed is on the other side of the wall and near the door to the balcony. Also, this room is NON-SMOKING and when we arrived, there was a vape and a pack of cigarettes left under the bed. So clearly the room was not properly cleaned. We called the front desk to ask for a cleaner room and they had no other options but offered for staff to come up and remove the items. This was at 9:00 pm that Friday night, by check-out on Sunday, no one had come to remove the items. I ended up using a tissue to pick up the vape and cigarettes and throw them away myself as to not get blamed for it being ours. The continental breakfast was good but the area to eat was VERY closed in and had limited seating. The hotel is not up to par and does not meet the standards of the surrounding area. Honestly, it should be bulldozed down and built back up to be more up-to-date and "livable." We will definitely not stay here again.
