Check in was fine. There was a plastic wrapper on the floor in the room. The inside door latch has been removed so I put a chair in front of the door for safety. The shower door does not have an inside handle. This property is convenient and clean but needs some maintenance badly.

Front desk Denise took my card and ID all while getting info about my emotional support dog which I have federal registration for. She informed me (against the law to ask for papers) that she would have to ask her manager if I could stay or that maybe her manager would just charge me $30 daily pet fee which I agreeed to. Denise gave me my cards back and gave me two keys to the room. Then she said oh my manager said NODOGS. She then cancelled my reservation and refused to give me any paperwork or proof that I did not stay so I could get a refund from Expedia. Denise the. Informed me that Expedia needs to call the hotel manager and manager Anita will tell them to issue me a refund. I had to give the keys back. Denise informs me there is a $40 cancellation fee!!! I need a refund because I did not cancel my reservation the manager and Denise cancelled it. It took hours on chat to explain what happened. I was unable to find any other room in the city or nearby cities. I had to sleep in my CAR! I am a US Veteran and I have mental health diagnoses. I need my dog. I never had such rude treatment and Anitanwould not answer the phone when I tried to ask for refund of $40

It could have been better

We arrived the afternoon checkin was easy and the young lady that checked us in was super friendly and polite. Upon arriving in the room, we noticed that there was no security latch on the inside door and the door handle was missing items . The shower had patch work and their was a Distinct odor of urine in the room me and I guess had to use an air freshener to make the room smell better.Later that evening we asked another staff member for additional blanket or sheets and was told in a rude tone “ we don’t have any additional blankets or sheets to give you we gave them all out have a good night. . Me and my guest were taken a back by her Demeanor, but just decided to return back to our room and fall asleep as we knew daylight will come quickly. In the morning were greeted by a much more pleasant person who wished us safe travels and to get home safely. Overall the stay wasn’t a bad one, but highly doubt if I’ll return.

The room had a very musky smell! Probably do to dirty air conditioner filters. There was no deadbolt to secure room. Overall this place needs to pay attention to details that matter to the guest.

The property appears to have been updated but part of our 1st floor ceiling seems to have water damage and is cracking/coming loose from the ceiling. The check in was smooth. The person on the desk was cordial but not South Carolina friendly, however the hotel was a decent value compared to most others in the area.

STAY AWAY!!! A complete dumpster fire, feared for my safety, absolute dump, pictures on website are from 20yrs ago, stains on bedding, bathroom door opens halfway bc it hits the vanity, cant wait to leave! No way i would stay anywhere near this place again and dont suggest anyone else does either!

The property is in need of some updating. There’s no wow factor. Meaning there was nothing that stood out. The WiFi was spotty. It did not have a fresh smell, either in the common areas or the rooms. There was rarely a staff member at the front desk to greet you. We checked in on a Friday evening before 9pm, the person behind the check in desk seemed like she did not want to be there. Not rude but not inviting. They do offer complimentary shampoo & conditioner, of which the shampoo was empty in our room. Thankfully, I always bring my own. But for those who do not, it’s an inconvenience. Just a blah experience. Good thing we only needed to be in town for a couple of nights.

We have stayed here multiple times, and will again, visiting our daughter in Conway, because of the reasonable price & location. The free breakfast is basic but adequate: cereal (no oatmeal packets 😞), yogurt, white bread for toast, jelly (no peanut butter cups), mini muffins, bagels, hard boiled eggs, juice, milk & coffee, and waffle mix. Fruit would have been appreciated as I cannot eat any wheat and my husband is vegan. The only problem of note is the room we had: 121, queen sized bed handicapped accessible. There are no grab bars in the shower, nor a seat, and the shower floor is very slippery, with the end result being it was very unsafe for me, a fall risk. In addition, when we stayed here previously the carpet was soaked from a shower leak (we were moved to a different room) and while there was no leak the carpet has not been replaced and the room smelled VERY musty and unpleasant. We stayed away all day, opened the window to air it out in the evening despite temps in the 40s, and just put up with it during sleep. That room is on our "Don't stay here" list unless the carpet is replaced
