Great staff, not so great hotel

The only great thing about my stay were the folks working the front desk. Especially the gentleman with the long braids. He went above and beyond. I arrived on Sunday and was hungry and saw that there was a restaurant. I went down to the restaurant and sat at the bar for 20 mins and nobody came. I asked the gentleman at the front desk if I could order food and he said there were only a few items available. I asked for seltzer. He found one but when I asked for another he didn’t have the original and had to go to another area for a different kind. I settled on fries. At which point he himself went back to the kitchen to make them. It took awhile because he had to heat up the oil. So basically the restaurant was open but the kitchen was not prepared to make anything. The guy checking ppl in was expected to work the front desk, bartend and cook. Crazy. The room was just ok. The pillows are terrible. Would not stay here again. But that guy working the front desk should get a raise.

Breakfast was good and was a nice feature. Information in the room indicated food was available throughout the day but this was not the case. In addition, complimentary shuttle service to Opryland hotel was a nice touch but was not available after 4 pm.

My daughter and I stayed here for a quick girl’s trip and were looking for a place close to the Grand Ole Opry. It was dated and the breakfast offered was just ok. The hotel had a strange smell and the tv was cumbersome to use. The staff were friendly though. Next time, we will try somewhere else as there are several in the area.

Really nice room. Big couch, super big bathroom vanity. Only one drawback. The tub and toilet room was miniscule. Had to squeeze by the toilet and stand by the tub to close the door.
