From walking in on Friday night to a fresh clean hotel with an extremely friendly, extra helpful young desk receptionist to the day shift Gentlemen who was extremely helpful, and Annette the Breakfast Hostess who continually attended to each person, this location and hotel was perfect for our stay.

They ran out of in-room regular coffee for 3 days! Only decaf. Failed to have my room cleaning for several days until I talked to manager. Never vacuumed while I was there (one week). Breakfast would run out of fruit. Yogurt, PLATES. ,I have never stayed in a Marriott property that was disappointing before this.

This is perfect for a quick weekend or for passing through. They offer a property right off 35 which is in proximity to Texas State Tubes - which is why we came to San Marcos, to float the river. There was an ice machine right next to our room and even though we were close to the elevators - relatively zero noise / loudness. The room was clean with a few minor exceptions like the shower still having water stains on the glass. Almost like you couldn’t really tell it had been cleaned. However, it didn’t feel dirty overall and the rest of the hotel is maintained. Glenny I think was our receptionist and she was so kind, courteous & efficient. Overall, this is a great budget stay in proximity to many restaurants and activities. 8/10

All the workers there were very nice and helful. The hotel was very clean. Breakfast was ok. Scrambled eggs were watery. My bed was very soft. I did not get any sleep. And the pillows were way too fluffy for me. I sleep on my side/stomach. I need a flatter pillow.
