Needs Maintenance & Better Value for the Price

The hotel has potential, but it requires some urgent maintenance. I noticed peeling paint, broken fixtures, plumbing problems, faulty air conditioning], which affected the overall experience. A little attention to upkeep would greatly improve the comfort of guests. For the price paid, I expected better quality. While the location/service was great, the condition of the facilities did not justify the cost. Investing in upgrades and maintenance would make this hotel a much better value for travelers.

It was close to the event center, where we participated in a competition. However, there were no sidewalks so that I couldn't walk there. Morning breakfast was basic and sufficient. The facility and room were clean enough. I had to ask for shampoo, as my room was supplied with only conditioner. The elevator didn't work, but we only managed one flight of steps. It was a good enough place to stay for a brief period. I would stay again if we had an event at the local event center, but other nicer places might be nearby.

The front staff was friendly and there was a good full breakfast every morning. And it’s just a twenty minute drive to the French quarter and three minutes to the swamp tours.

A few issues

Have been to this hotel a few times. Always enjoyed my stay. Unfortunately, this time… had issues with my rooms. First room I was assigned, the fridge did not work and I had medication that needed to be refrigerated. 2nd room- microwave did not work properly , the drawers on the TV did not stay closed, towel rack by bathroom sink was coming out of the wall. A little disappointed with this stay.

The food was horrible, and they didnt have elevators. The gentlemen at front desk at night, was rude as hell and was unhelpful. I cant rememver his name, but he was a tall black guy. The tv barely had any channels. These were the cons. Most of the staff was on point. Rooms was clean as far as i could tell. And the beds were somewhat comfy. These were the pros.

Let us sleep comfortably

This hotel was conveniently located near family for Thanksgiving. The outside was nice & clean, & we were greeted by a friendly front desk clerk. The room was clean, but we could smell a slightly musty smell from the carpet, as if the carpet has been steam cleaned but not dried properly. The ice maker on our floor didn't work, so I had to go find a working one on another floor. Another downside is the shower's water pressure was so low. Breakfast was good, & the dining area was clean & fully stocked. Lastly, the cleaning crew were very loud early each morning. Both mornings we could hear them talking & laughing loudly before 8:00 a.m. I have to get up very early when I'm home for work, so I love to sleep in when I'm on vacation.
