The loudest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Planes, trains, and automobiles could be clearly heard at all times. Also, drunk revelers passing by within feet of your hotel room window make for a terrible night's sleep. We also noticed black mold spores on the ceiling. The only aspect saving this review from 1 or 0 stars was the location of the hotel. It was very convenient to all of the French Quarter sites and (unfortunately) sounds.

Great place to stay!

This place is really great. Clayton was very friendly and got us checked in and then took our bags and led us to our room. The courtyard and pool are a very charming touch. It is a very quiet and comfortable place to stay. Location is perfect.

The location and customer service is excellent and the place was clean. Some downsides though were inability to alter temperature in the room and super small refrigerator with no stocked water or even availability for water on the premises. Also the advertised studio was really just an armchair in the corner where the photos on line alluded to a couch.

Pretty, old building in FQ - some issues

Great location in French Quarter. Walkable to all surrounding New Orleans areas of interest. Building itself has a lot of character however is old and has some issues. The walls are very thin and you can clearly hear the other guests and people on the streets at night. The door to the room did not fit squarely in the frame and so would let light in all night from the hallway and you could see out the room from the bed. There were also multiple cockroaches in our bathroom every night. We were on the top floor and had 2 heavy suitcases and there is no elevator, the kind receptionist helped us take our bags up but it was a struggle. On a side note there was a painting of “terrific slaughter of the British” which we thought was a bit in poor taste as visitors from the UK. Overall, loved New Orleans but would maybe choose somewhere else to stay.
