Quaint, quiet and a great location. Can walk to most things and Bourbon Street is the next street over. Food in the restaurant is good and pretty reasonably priced.

The location is perfect; however, I booked the hotel based on multiple reviews of how quiet the facility was even though it was around the corner from Bourbon Street. We had a streetside balcony room and it was extremely noisy at all hour’s both morning and night! There is a barricade that is raised or lowered depending on street closure, we had to listen to EVERY SINGLE CAR cross a metal plate when it was lowered. Trash collectors come daily at 5:30am, street cleaning at 8am, both are very noisy. The hotel is traditional in decor and centrally located, but very misleading reviews about how quiet it is. If you book a room in the courtyard, maybe that would maintain a quiet area, however, that is not how hundreds of reviews are written.

We loved the hotel. The only set back is the hotel building is u-shaped which doesn’t always allow good sun on the pool depending on the time of the year. Everything else was great, very nice accommodating staff. Quaint, nice balcony overt looking the courtyard. Nice mesh of history and modern amenities. I loved the vibe of not being part of a chain and right in the French Quarter.

Nice property! Friendly staff, great restaurant options in the hotel and nearby. Nice courtyard and pool area, street balcony was fun, but not overly scenic. Far enough away from the noise of Bourbon Street, yet completely walkable around the whole French Quarter. Loved it! Would definitely stay there again!

French Quarter Jewel

Beautiful old time feel hotel. Loved the location, just close enough to Bourbon St but far enough to get quiet rest. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The hotel needs some upkeep but other than that, it was a great stay.
