Great location for the hotel; you can get everywhere you want to go easily and quickly. Service was great other than the bartender talking about politics when we were trying to have a drink. Room was clean but smaller than I expected; pretty cramped for three women in one room (but it’s NYC).

Nice hotel but there were issues.

Hotel was nice, nice location. But there were a few things that just were not okay. Check in was at 3 they didn’t have the room ready until 415. When we finally got a room none of our outlets or tv worked. Also later in the night when we got back we found out our deadbolt to our hotel room door did not lock. I’ve never had so many issues staying at a hotel before. Staff was nice about it but none of this should’ve happened.

There were unexpected changes when I checked in. Also the staff was only did what they had to. I ask about where to get a taxi (because I have an older person with me) and they told just walk down the street and around the corner. It felt like the staff was just trying to get us out of the way. The Aliz doesn't have a lot to offer. The room was clean and it was mot far from time square.

The property is in a good location and very walkable. The room was loud from a bar down the block and the window was drafty. We were given free drink coupons upon checkin but they are only good for house beer and wine in the lobby. Dear Irving is a separate entity and has its own elevator. The rest of the hotel only has 2 elevators and they are busy all the time. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I would stay there again, although on a lower level.
