I’ve booked multiple stays with this hotel and have always had a pretty good experience. However the staff on the late night shift around 12:00am, spoke to me in a condescending tone when I asked her to extend my stay. Her lack of professionalism in the manner in which she spoke was unnecessary and shocking. Such employees weaken the establishment. After the experience I chose to leave the hotel and stay elsewhere. The staff that helped me during check-in at 3pm gave great customer service.

The property itself(hotel) is beautiful inside and out the area not so much,however the area is safe. There are a few food stops minutes away.

The hotel itself was nice. The room felt very clean but was very tight. Understandable since it’s NYC but more space would have been nice. The heating did not work. It was very cold our first day and the heater was giving out cold air. There is carpet in part of the room which makes it feel outdated and dirty. I generally think all hotels should get rid of carpets for cleanliness and allergies. Our room was supposed to have a city view and it did not. We were directly in front of another building with no view what so ever. The gym was well equiped and a nice addition to have during our 5 day stay. But the wifi does not work in the gym which was inconvenient if you are using the internet to access a workout plan. As for the location - it’s close by to subway stations but if you’re planning to walk everywhere it is a little far from midtown and areas like SoHo. We were okay with the 40min to 1h30 walks but it’s something to consider if you want to be walking distances from the center of Manhattan. Very close to the Brooklyn bridge! The area gets very quiet at night. Not sure if it’s the same in the summer (we were there in February). Felt a little unsafe because it was so quiet and there were not many people walking around but during the day it is very busy and safe!

I solo travelled to NY and didn’t want to stay in the hustle and bustle of midtown and wanted to be walkable to the Brooklyn Bridge/Dumbo and Brooklyn Heights for a trip down memory lane , so opted for downtown financial district . The location of this hotel was absolutely perfect. Steps from Wall Street and WTC areas , subways , shopping , restaurants and so much more. The staff were exceptional, very friendly and welcoming and super helpful with anything I needed. The room was perfect for my needs (in a city like NYC you’d be wasting money on too much luxury you should be out exploring!!) , the room and bathroom were clean and in great order , the bed super comfy and the tea / coffee and fridge facilities were a great bonus, The area is obviously busy during the day but at night it goes very quiet which was just what I wanted and I slept like a baby. I can highly recommend this place and I would definitely book it again.

Our stay, was OK. The room was nice and the staff were very friendly. However, after calling the hotel to tell them that my flight was delayed and we didn't know how long the delay would be my room was almost canceled even though they knew that we would be arriving after 3am due to the delay. Then, when we did get to the hotel after a very long travel day we had to stand at the front desk for almost 45 minutes as the hotel's computers went down. Then we struggled to get upstairs with our bags as the staff used the guest elevators as service elevators and we were crammed into an elevator meant for 6 people (we were a group of 3 with luggage) with a staff member bringing up 2 huge linen carts. Once we got to our room, we realized we shared a wall with the elevator which knocks and bangs against the wall all day and night. Finally, when we got up the next morning there was zero hot water for any of our showers (I've never experienced this at any hotel before). It was just an odd stay when we expect and usually get a much better stay at a Marriott property. We didn't complain to the front desk because honestly we didn't want to bother them and really, there was nothing they could do. The staff continued to use the elevator as a service elevator, we'd have to pack up and move all of our stuff to get away from the elevator but, I'm not sure we even could have, and the water issue was a water heater issue as the hot water seemed to run out by a certain point in the morning.
