Good location. Decent ambience. But room was annoyingly small. Inadequate space for clothes. Bathroom space made it hard to organize toiletries. Had to move desk chair to maneuver around bed. I wasn’t looking for a suite. Just more functionality.

Beautiful Art Deco hotel

Beautiful hotel, comfortable and well situated between the Empire State and Flatiron buildings. Friendly and helpful staff. Has quite a buzzy atmosphere in its bar and restaurant areas but very little internal noise at night. My only complaint would be the compulsory $36 per night amenity fee which entitled you to a drink and one food/bakery item as a grab and go breakfast (plus a wine happy hour at the hotel or at one of its stablemates) and walking tours. I would have preferred to have had the choice to make my own arrangements. All in all though an excellent hotel with a historic feel

Great boutique hotel in a great location

Really loved the Evelyn. The room was larger by NY standards than others we have stayed in previously. The heated floor in the bathroom was a nice addition as was the song themed tile around the bathroom. Bed was comfortable. The location is great near various subway lines and Madison Square Park with various restaurants.

This hotel has lovely ambiance, a welcoming cozy lobby and surprisingly decent sized rooms with heated bathroom floors! (Lack of storage though like most NYC hotel rooms I’ve stayed in). The happy hour was a lovely touch - special thanks to Tiffany for her wonderful service!
