Serious Issue: Hotel Retained Pre-Authorised Funds

A pre-authorisation was taken from my card at check-in, and the funds were subsequently charged without any prior notice or valid reason. Despite my attempts to resolve this, email responses have been slow, and nearly two weeks after check-out the money has still not been returned.

I was disappointed that I paid for a larger room and when we got there I was informed “first come first serve” despite paying for the room weeks in advance. The next day the manager Carlos was helpful in changing our room but I wasn’t given a refund on the difference of the smaller room on the first night. Very disappointed. I will not be staying there again.

Rooms not ready late into check in

At 6pm the rooms were not ready. We arrived hours after check in and the rooms needed to be cleaned and checked. One room was made available about 15 minutes later and the second room was available 45 min later - that’s nuts when it’s hours after normal check in. The lobby attendant doing check ins was unempathetic, and offered nothing to help alleviate the discomfort- no discount or anything was procided
