This was my 4th (maybe 5th?) trip to this hotel. So the fact that I keep coming back says a lot. This hotel is not new, it's not fancy. It's older, the elevator is... a trip. But it's clean and has an ocean view. The breakfast is fine (waffles, bagels, yogurt, cereal, coffee, and chocolate milk, etc), and the staff is friendly. It's got an ocean view for a majority of the rooms and I have enjoyed every visit. That said, I do bring extra hangers as there are no towel hooks and there are maybe 3 hangers in the closet area. The water pressure and hot water for showers was fantastic. Again, a standard (older) motel room, but the view and cleanliness makes up for the rest. Looking forward to my next visit!

The rooms were nothing like picutred online. The room had 1 lamp and no overhead light. There was no furniture to speak of really. Photos showed a well furnished room with a big desk and chair, but we got a tiny round table shoved in a corner with a coffee maker so there was no room to work. We found a lot of hair and crumbs in our sheets and a few mysterious stain on the other side. The mattress was iffy. There was a mystry stain on the curtains, like full obvious finger prints on them. Which was very gross as it was a brownish red color. The shower/ water heater went from sclading hot to ice cold at random times. There is absolutly no soundproofing in these buildings. You could hear everything from all sides. Water pipes, toilets flushing, walking, talking, etc. Do not be fooled by this place being like right on the beach, there is a straight up cliff behind the unit. BUT you are right next to Nye beach front and the shopping district. There was also no elevator that I saw, even though there are photos of it online and in their accessibility. The hand rail going up the stairs to floor 2 actually came off the wall hanger, so that is a big safety issue.. They have an okay breakfast option, better than what the reviews stated before so they seem to have fixed that. Front desk guy was very nice and was very prompt so no issues there.

This is right in Nye beach which makes it a great place to stay! It is walkable to the beach and all of the shops and restaurants. We also loved the pool (which was warm) and hot tub!

We didn't have a beachview, but a road/house view, which was fine. Room seemed cleanish, where you could see. Under chairs were not cleaned. No hangers in the room, but long hanging bar. Shower was decent pressure, but shower curtain rod needs a coat of paint. Pool building is in need of some major repairs. Ceiling has water damage. Sauna from outside looked like it has had better days. There was dirt, flat pool floats and garbage on the floor all over. The pool chairs were very cobwebby/spider webby. Pool and hot tub were a worn.

My room did not overlook the beach, and the blowers on the Jacuzzi tub did not work. But outside of that, everything Price and room appointments wereexcellent, the room was very clean. It was a good neighborhood and the staff was excellent. I felt breakfast was good, my wife noticed lack of fruit And eggs.Would go again if I knew that I could get one of the oceanfront rooms and the Jacuzzi works correctly.

The room and bed were comfortable enough for one night, but the property details were deceptive and the customer service was poor. First, despite the name "Waves" and the profile photo that looks like it's on the beach, there is no access to the beach anywhere within walking distance. There's a cliff there, and it's all blocked by private buildings anyway. There's also no ocean view. Maybe on the third floor, you could see a little peek-a-boo view over the roof of the building across the street. I don't know. I wasn't up there. Worse than that, one of the main reasons I booked this place was because it had free breakfast. I was in town to watch my daughter run a triathlon. It started early, so an included, and fast, breakfast was essential. When I checked in, the lady confirmed there was breakfast. But at 7:30 the next morning, the lobby was still closed. There was a man sitting at the desk, and he just glared at me and the guy next to me also looking for breakfast and pointed to the sign on the door, which said "Office Hours: 8 am to 9 pm." So . . . no breakfast. I didn't have time to go somewhere else, so I settled for a gas station granola bar. I definitely would not have stayed here if I had known about EITHER the lack of ocean access/view or no breakfast until 8 am.

This property is clearly suffering from a lack of maintenance and oversight. The overall impression was poor, with the exterior looking run down and the dirty stairwells containing cobwebs in the corners, setting a bad precedent before I even reached the room. The room's conditions were appalling: it smelled heavily of old carpet and had clearly not been deep cleaned in ages. Sleep was impossible due to both the ancient bed that folded "like a taco" and severe plumbing issues—the toilet constantly ran, and water use upstairs triggered a high-pitched whistle from the pipes. These terrible conditions were compounded by the exorbitant $216 per night price tag. When I politely requested to move rooms the next morning, the passive-aggressive employee at the front desk told me to leave, refusing to honor the remainder of my three-day reservation. This hostile reaction to a reasonable complaint is completely unacceptable. This motel needs a complete renovation and management overhaul. I strongly advise against booking a stay here.

There was no shower curtain. The drapes were on backwards. The bed made a squeaking noise - needs replaced. There was an overflowing garbage can right in front of our door. The jets to the jacuzzi were not working. The front office was not open when we left at 7:30, so no coffee, tea, etc. Not a great experience.
