Upon check in, the front desk staff informed me that the king suite I paid for was unavailable and they had to switch me to a double queen room. When I got to the room, both sinks were backed up and draining slow, the toilet seat was loose and pinched my leg when I sat down, and the back hall room they put me in on the 9th floor smelled like marijuana. There were people running up and down the halls all night, being loud, liquor bottles left by the elevator, and I saw people sleeping in the lobby with bags overnight. I did not feel safe letting my teenage son even go down the hall to get ice. There was also a fight on a lower floor that caused an insane amount of noise in the middle of the night. The Embassy used to be my hotel of choice when I visited Virginia but I’ll never stay in this hotel again.

The room service did not make our beds during our stay. We called in the morning before we left our room and when we came back it was still not made and housekeeping left for the day. The funny part is they gave us fresh towels and bags for the garbage but they did not make the bed. Another thing is took an arm and a leg to get hair conditioner. I called in the morning for hair conditioner and I had to call again at night as well used the texting service through Hilton Honors. I paid $800 for these rooms when I should have paid $200. The front desk staff was nice but there must be a miscommunication in staff.
