Don’t go.
If they survive on tourism then they need to do better. I had an issue getting my wife evisa because of her Jamaican passport but no issue with mine which is an American passport.
The room already paid for. I contacted the hotel to tell them my situation and that I have no other choice but to cancel.
I understand there would have been a penalty but I had no idea it would have been 100 % the cost.
How is that fair.
How do you charge someone full cost for a service they did not benefit from.
Is the country that poor or the Hilton that unfair to its customers and this is there way to earn revenue even if it’s an empty room.
They possibly rented the room twice, which is considered unethical and constitutes double dipping. But that’s possibly the culture.
$817 usd and I did not benefit from the service. That’s not fair.
This the county that preaches humility and compassion. But when there is a tourist it’s gone throw the window as tourist becomes a staple.
Again don’t go.
