Do better!

My son used his own money for arcade games in the game room. The machine stole his $20. No big deal right? Nope, they gave us some phone number to call. We were leaving the next day so that was useless. It might not sound like a big deal but it was to him and it was to me as well. The fact that they have a 3rd party coin machine that eats 20's and they play dumb when you ask for your money back is unbelievable to me. What a stupid thing to get a bad review for! Do better Carousel! Had that not been handled so poorly I probably would have overlooked the rest of the deficiencies. The hotel is dated, the carpet is old and messed up in the halls and rooms. The furniture in the room had damages all over. The tub had wierd rust stains near the drain.

The staff were helpful and kind. The location and amenities were mostly nice. Except we happened to be put in a room off the beaten path, behind the indoor pool. Getting to our room felt like going down a deserted alley. Nothing like the rest of the hotel. And our room was less than 5 feet away from the pool, directly in front of our sliding doors, with limited access off our small patio and zero privacy. I completely blame Expedia for complete false advertising. When I showed the ladies at the front desk, the picture of what we thought we booked - ocean front with a balcony - compared to the room we had they were utterly shocked and told us we had been lied to and ripped off, but because we went to Expedia, they couldn’t do anything about it
Our room was the first on the left. Barely a walkway to get around the pool. And the hotel double locks the gates from evening until mid morning so that you cannot leave the patio to get to the restaurant or the beach. You must go through your room

You should be able to see the room you're actually booking. I would not have chosen that particular room. Normally I have a great experience from Hotel. Com that's why I always use it. The room was ok but not the "area" I wanted. But duable.

Awful experience

Mold throughout room, it took over one hour to check in. After waiting in line they stated they would call us but after 4pm I went to the desk and they stated they were too busy to call. The service was awful everything in the room was dirty and unsanitary. There were stains all over the walls including in the bathroom. I have more photos but just a little idea of the condition. It’s totally not worth it especially when you cannot get any sleep on the old uncomfortable pillows. Also requested maintance twice to the front desk and no one showed, the toilet wasn’t flushing I ended up fixing myself and the water pressure hardly came out. I would not recommend this and would rather sleep in my car.

I liked the friendliness of the staff, the fast checkin/checkout. The ice show is always a crowd pleaser. There are so many things to do with the kiddos, too. Lots of family events.

The property was well lit and accessible. The kids were never bored. Located across the street from a supermarket and plenty of stores. Staff doesn’t acknowledge some guest. The housekeeper was the most friendliest employee we met.

The elevator was down and or didn't show up for a long time so the stairs are a must and kids running in the hallways past 1130 pm plus out dated rooms all bad indicators but good dinning and ice skating show
