Perfect off-season weekend beach trip!

Beautiful oceanfront view with private balcony. Spacious room. Very clean. I love having fridge, Microwave, and toaster! Love being able to enjoy the beach view, sounds, and air with sliding glass doors which we usually kept open. However, while I’m glad folks have the option to bring pets (at least in the off-season), it was hard to relax with dogs barking while our door to the balcony was open. Either they were on the balcony or near the open slider doors. We couldn’t see them but could hear them suddenly and it was jarring plus uncomfortable. All things being equal, I would not stay again solely for this single reason. I wish there was a better policy that wasn’t so disruptive to peace, quiet, and sounds of the beach & waves! If it doesn’t bother you, then definitely stay at the Commander.

We attended the Ciuntry Calling music festival Oct 3-5 and had a great time. The property was convenient to the boardwalk and lots of stores and places to eat.

I was charged an additional charge to park my vehicle. When I returned from dinner, there was no parking available. After the first night, they had NOT cleaned the room, when I was gone all day, and returned at 5:00 pm. At checkout, I voiced my concerns to the girl behind the desk. She partially refunded the parking charge, and said that she was goi g to refund the one night, but never did ! She claimed that her printer was not working to print the room refund as proof, even though she just printed the partial parking refund. I have NOT seen the refund returned to my account. Also, I could not access the building because the automatic door was NOT working with the keycard. We were kept waiting outside for 45 minutes until they found the key to access the Emergency Exit door. The other gentleman had his wife and two young children in the room waitng. The room and carpet was so dirty that your feet was black on the bottom when you entered the shower, and you had to brush the sand off of your feet before putting your socks on.

We were in town for the music festival and were very happy with our stay here. A beautiful, clean smelling lobby and friendly helpful staff was a nice start. We had a 2 queen oceanfront room and it was beautiful with comfortable beds and I loved the shower head and stunning view from the balcony. Also a fun surprise for us was the Fractured Prune donut shop in front near the hotel restaurant where we also enjoyed a nice breakfast outside on the deck. It was a pleasant and easy walk to and from the festival at the end of the boardwalk with lots of shops, bars and restaurants nearby and along the way. The price was very reasonable (thank you Expedia!) for the location and accommodations and I would definitely stay here again!

Nice oceanfront hotel. We stayed at the captain suite, huge room with sink, microwave, refrigerator, dining table & area closet & safe lock, huge spacious balcony. Nice king & comfortable bed, clean & beautiful glass shower. Parking lots infront of hotel. free parking & maybe only free from October 7 & beyond as many other nearby hotel.

We had a peaceful relaxing 5 nights at the end of September! We stay here many times and will keep coming back! The staff was terrufic and kind. Every interaction we had was met with smiles and aways wantung to know how they could help with our stay! Stayed in the cabana and enjoyed the balcony and still see the waves rolling in! Rooms were clean and crisp! Couldnt have asked for a better stay!
