Our flight was canceled and when United was giving travel vouchers to many people, the process was taking hours. We booked the Hyatt and walked across the parking lot to it. It was clean, they had food and a breakfast included, and we made our new flight the next morning without having to take a cab

What a great hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and I loved that they had steamed milk for coffee. Rooms cleaned every day! We were also able borrow beach chairs and an umbrella for the beach - I figured this out on our second last day but was still great. The hotel is about 20 minutes from Palm beach which we went to every day but we have been to Aruba many times and know our way around the island. We had a car which is a must. Great place would definitely recommend.

We checked in and had to wait then the girl gave our room keys to another guest. We had lunch and had to wait for service! I ordered just French fries and the waitress questioned that I just wanted fries like it was unacceptable! I had also requested extra pillows at check in as my husband has RA and has to sleep elevated and I had to go to the front desk 4 hrs later as no one answered the phone when I called down. We wanted to get food to bring to the room so I went down to bar to order and had to wait granted they were busy but there was only one person working. Finally I ordered and he told me 20 mins and he would call when it was done. I went back to the room and about 35 mins later I went back down and it still was not ready. Finally he came out with the hot food and said the chocolate cake we ordered was frozen and to leave it out and it would thaw. I said absolutely not take it off, he said I have carrot cake and red velvet but the red velvet is crumbly so I would not want that. We took the carrot cake. I bit into my well done ordered burger to find that it was pink in the middle so I said heck with it at this point it was too much of a hassle to deal with them downstairs again so I would just eat the cake…Well that tasted like soap. Needless to say the whole experience at the Hyatt was horrible from the minute we got there. When we go back to Aruba next year we will just stay downtown the final night. We booked at the airport because we had an early flight.!

The room was not ready for check-in; however, Candy, the front office administrator, made us feel extremely welcome and comfortable, which minimized any inconvenience. I am grateful for Candy's outstanding customer service, as she addressed all of our needs and concerns effectively, resulting in a stress-free stay. On the other hand, I encountered a manager named Daniella who exhibited unprofessional behavior that made me feel unwelcome. I was quite taken aback by her demeanor towards other guests, particularly when I observed her response to a guest's inquiry for information. This concern prompted me to request a discussion with a manager to bring this matter to attention. Such discourteous behavior would certainly influence my decision to consider alternative accommodation in the future.
