I booked a high-floor room for 4 nights via Expedia, including breakfast for 2. While the room was clean and had a good view, the experience was disappointing. At check-in, the front desk had no record of my meal plan—I had to show proof. The next morning, I was told to collect $23/day breakfast vouchers for the Market Cafe, which had very limited vegan/vegetarian options. On day 2, I only wanted drinks (no food or alcohol), but the cafe refused to serve even water or juice using the voucher, stating it’s only valid for breakfast food and you have to pay for it separately. Front desk confirmed this policy that no drinks (no coffee, no water or juice) are allowed on breakfast voucher and said I could request a refund for unused vouchers. I kept them but was later denied a refund at checkout, despite being misinformed.
Housekeeping was also poor—I had to call multiple times to get the room serviced. I raised the issue with Expedia (got a case number), but no action was taken. We ended up eating outside despite having paid for breakfast.
Overall, the hotel seems to rely on its Universal location and neglects service quality. This was the worst Hilton experience I've had, especially frustrating while traveling with family. I do not recommend staying here, especially if you're with family or have dietary needs.
