The woman at the desk was great and the room was very clean. The reason for my 4 stars, instead of 5, is the safety factor. As a woman traveling alone, and as this hotel is right off a major freeway, I was concerned that the door from the parking lot directly into the hallways does not close. You must pull on it to close it, and only then is it locked. Nobody but me was doing that. The door was ajar every time I re-entered the building which was only 3 times in the 17 hours I spent overnight there. It seems that something is bent so that the door will not close as it should. In addition, (although there is a fence around the pool area), the outdoor pool area is adjacent to the dark backside of the hotel. I would expect key access to be necessary to gain entry back into the hotel from the pool as it leads directly to the hallway of rooms. I hope Days Inn addresses these security concerns. Thanks!
