Desert Breezes

Desert Breezes is an older accommodation that was probably really nice when it was built [I am guessing more than 25 years ago]. If a 5 star resort is your thing then this is not for you. If you are good with older , needing some cosmetic updates , but everything is adequate then consider this place. We have stayed here 3 times and honestly probably won't again, will look for something a little nicer. Negatives are: needing updates, no gentleman at the front gate any more, you have to work a key pad when you first enter which proved challenging for us but then you get a swipe card after that, tv package is poor, housekeeping only if you are there longer than a week and you have to request it. Positives are: nice location, close to many restaurants and grocery store [you have to drive though], on site free washer and dryer in your building, functional little kitchen so you can have your own coffee and food, nice pool area that was clean.

So quiet, it was wonderful. The high vaulted ceiling really made the large living area roomy. Bed was comfortable and enjoyed the 2 balconies. We did have trouble seeing the sensor to open the security gate in the dark though. The large pool was very nice, warm and clean. The kitchen was supplied well but the ice drawer in the freezer didn't fit right and the ice would crash down all over inside. We just turned it off when we didn't need it.

The room was good with everything that we needed. The only issue was that the ac didn’t work. The room was always hot. Would have been nice to have a ceiling fan or something. We were there in January, I could imagine a hotter month.

Our room had bed bugs and I woke up covered in bites!! So disgusting we checked out early and had to stay somewhere else. Plus, the rooms were really dingy and old.

Beautiful place! Office staff do and be better

The property was beautiful as it has been in the past. Clean manicured and a peaceful environment. The checkin process has not been great the past 2 times we have been there. The lobby has to buz you through the gate but they do not answer the phone promptly so you are sitting in the drive blocking cars from getting on the property timely. We went into the lobby and there are 3 employees and a child sitting and chatting instead of answering the phone

Lots of pools and hot tubs/spas. Very nice pond with ducks, big fish, turtles. Lot of walking trails. Gym, tennis courts. So good for keeping fit with activity.

The apartment itself was fine. Bed was comfy and it was nice to have a full kitchen. Heat worked well since it was cold out during my stay and there were plenty of tv stations to choose from. Bathroom was outdated and didn’t have great amenities. Parking was right outside unit which was great. Check in after hours is not impossible but they don’t give accurate directions on how to do it. The flyer said they had grab and go breakfast on Friday but at 8:30am there was still no sign of life in the clubhouse for such an event. There was nothing terrible about this place i just don’t think it was worth the price charged (~190/night)

Friendly staff. Resort a little dated but had everything we needed. Nice big outdoor hot tub along with one smaller one. Big pool but never tried. Have stayed here 3 times and would probably stay again.
