The tennis program and the large central pool at Shadow Mountain are first rate. We stayed in a King Studio so I can't speak to the quality of the other types of accommodations, but I wouldn't recommend staying in our studio. It was reasonably clean, but it just wasn't comfortable. The mattress on the bed left my wife with a back ache, the couch and the outdoor furniture were not comfortable to sit on. I spent as much time as possible on a chaise at the pool area because those chairs were much more comfortable. Also, Expedia listed a sofa bed, but, while the coach could fold to a flat surface, there was o mattress.

Good location in Palm Desert.

A great place to stay in the area especially if you take advantage of the tennis programs. Nice Restaraunt’s nearby. Not a fancy place. Used to have a strong pickleball program but they got rid of that. Reasonably priced stay. Adequate golf course.

It was built in 1946 and that shows. The heater/air conditioner was very noisy. The tennis courts were in good shape except for one.the weather was cold so we didnt use the large pool. The kitchen was too small in the studio unit.

The truth is that it was not the place I expected, the property is very deteriorated, my 1-bedroom studio room had a rather unpleasant musty smell, the bed and furniture were very old and had an unpleasant smell, The pipe makes horrible noises that scare you and it is very difficult to sleep,I went to the lobby to see If you could change my room and they told me that because my reservation was issued through you Expedia they couldn't help me, the truth is I don't recommend this place to anyone.

We had a wonderful two room villa that was perfect. However, the upkeep of the grounds and pool area are nonexistent. Peeling paint/rust on the metal fences around the very dirty pool. Dirt was accumulating on the bottom of the pool and the coping and tile need to be repaired. This could be the best pool in the area if someone would put some work into it.
