Our staying in this hotel was a little disappointing. I didn't feel welcome by the majority of the staff specifically at restaurants very poor training and to difficult to make reservations, were a group of 10 people being 7 adults and 3 kids , in 7 days we never had a change to sit together in some restaurants, not even close, because they said the regulations don't allow them to put tables together WHAAATT??? The food didn't impressed us, most of the food seemed to be preheated even the ribeye at the steakhouse (?) Cleanness of the bedrooms are pretty good but the king size bed mattress is way overdue for a change. Both sides were lower than the middle , very worn out. Outside the hotel at the beach, we couldn't swim because of the seaweeds, and the whole area stank. I would NOT go back.

Before booking this resort I read ALOT of reviews which were very mixed. I decided to book anyways and am so glad we did. The service was great. There were soooo many food options. I highly recommend trying the three restaurants you make reservations for and then the restaurant on the ocean. The swim up and lobby bar had very tasty drinks with generous pours. I do suggest you bring an insulated cup to keep your drinks cold. We ended up buying one there for about $25. Our room was upgraded to one with a swim up pool. Apparently rooms are assigned at check in so you get what you get. Unfortunately this means another family we were staying with were not close to us at all. The walk from the front of the resort to our room was far but I liked getting steps in after enjoying so much food. If walking is an issue you can always take the trams. We were approached once to discuss upgrading to the Privilege but after politely declining we were never approached again. Check in was long so I would suggest arriving as close to 3 as possible so you don’t have to wait once to check in and once to get your room assignment like we did. Overall our trip was great with lots of memories made!

Live cooking restaurant was great. Lots of options at buffet. Cockroach on table at our last dinner at Blue Moon. Have to tip if you want a decent drink. Coffee and ice cream shops were a nice touch. Small gym. Get massages on the beach for a LOT less money. Had to remind them to restock fridge in room. Staff was good in restaurants. Its not a 5 star resirt though.

I was very disappointed with service, cleanliness of rooms, rooms itself need to be upgraded and all around services with Ocean Riviera Paradise. I would not recommend! Staff/customer service of one of the stores was deplorable. I checked in and was given my first room that was not properly cleaned(stained couch). I was given another room after I told them I didn’t want the room (staff stated they could clean the room again). Later in The day I went to some stores I was accused to stealing with the staff member (manager) who had the item itself. I checked my credit card and noticed I was charged twice(hotel manager did correct that issue-I was refunded for both payments). That was a long exhausting day! The day before I was to check out I came from an excursion and was locked out of my room. I had to go back to guest services to have my arm tag reactivated, I was told there was a glitch in the system. The lack of empathy and it’s nothing I can do about it attitude I received from staff and managers is horrible. The reviews I saw prior was primarily good. But all the reviews about complaints was what I experienced. I’m saddened. Made my vacation not so good. Do better with resort and staff training

Property is very clean, the layout is perfect. Great pools with entertaining staff keeping it fun. Plenty to do for kids and Adults. Reservation system is absolutely horrible. Of no fault to the hotel, the sargassum situation was rough for August. Did their best to keep it under control. If it was not for the rediculous system to make a reservation, and the endless commission workers stalking and begging for sales.. I would Give a full 5 star review.

As soon as you check in, you're greeted by members of H10 who promise you gifts in exchange for booking a 90-minute presentation. In this presentation they will show you the privilege area of the resort, newer rooms with ocean views and ask you to become a member for a monthly fee. The resort is clean and offers many options for entertainment (some with additional costs). Only premium members get the good alcohol, everything else is just watered-down generic brands, unless of course you pay more. The beach was unfortunately disgusting and full of seaweed as it was Sargassum season in Mexico. We booked a tour trip to Isla Mujeres to swim in the ocean and it was beautiful. A very special shoutout to our concierge Lisandro who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed during our stay. He was amazing, very attentive and kind.

Amazing stay at this resort. Splurged on the privileged room and it was 100% with it. Francisco as our personal concierge was absolutely the best. He helped with every reservation, checked on us daily throughout the resort and was the icing on the cake of the whole stay. I can’t recommend this resort enough!

A la carte restaurants were excellent including the mayan diner and even the buffet was offering multiple different otpuons everyday. All pools were really clean and the resort was really well maintained (gardening and clean). The conciergerie (Elias) and the restaurant booking (Angelica Laura) really facilitate our stay and make us co sider to return next year at the same resort. Ramon the wedding coordinator was efficient and answered all our questions to plan a possible wedding there. Thanks ORP and Expedia
