One of the biggest disappointments during my stay was how often staff asked for tips. Within the first 10 minutes of arriving, I was asked by the woman at the 1st station front desk for a tip to “upgrade” my room. It felt like tipping was expected at every turn, which created unnecessary pressure. I came prepared to tip daily, but the constant requests were excessive — especially since most guests weren’t tipping at all.
The timeshare presentation was another letdown. Lorena was excellent — professional, attentive, and a pleasure to work with. However the closing rep, Jesus, was arrogant and unpleasant. He was a major reason I decided not to purchase, and instead of feeling relaxed, It stressed me.
On the positive side, the drinks were great — Angel in the buffet made the best cocktails, Jesus in the welcome area was friendly, and one of the shuttle drivers (older guy that goes to the gym near by) was fantastic. Unfortunately, I couldn’t tip them due to both resort ATMs being down. And by the time i met them i ran out of money. Even a walk to 7-11 didn’t solve the issue. My sincere apologies go to them, because they truly deserved it recognition for their service.
But we will not be back.
