Great location, helpful friendly staff and nice little touches like free suncream and discount vouchers for gunwharf quays. However, rooms quite small and our bed was incredibly squeaky and not all that comfortable. Location was fantastic, but unlikely to stay again. Checked out a night early to get back to our comfy bed!

Parking good But would have been helpful to have had info about taking the barrier ticket and having it stamped for free 24 hours. Staff should know about electric charging so coan load the podpoint app in advance rather than having to walk out to get a signal to download it after parking.

The air conditioning didn’t work which seems to be a long term problem that has not been fixed. The windows only open slightly so no breeze and it’s too noisy to keep them open. Fan is useless.

Around the toilet it smelt strongly of stale unrine. Pillow was very hard. Breakfast had a good selection of food. We enjoyed the complimentary hot drinks in the cafe area too.

Mixed bag

The location was very good - about 10 minutes walk from the historic dockyard and in a modern development with shops and lots of restaurants. We liked that breakfast was included. We didn't like being allocated an adjoining room but were told that if we'd complained they would have tried to find us another room. Why were we put in an adjoining room (with inadequate soundproofing) if another option was available? We are not large people but we found the "standard sized" double bed (4' 6") a bit on the small side.

The property was in an excellent position for our stay. The staff were brilliant and the breakfast good. However little niggles - the TV didn't work, the hairdryer was broken and there were holes in the curtains!
