Dear Expedia , I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the quality of service received during my recent stay at Barcelo Bavaro Palace D. R.. Given the premium price paid, the overall experience did not align with the standards expected from a property of this caliber. The level of hospitality and customer service was inconsistent and at times unprofessional. We had PREMIUM level stay but waited almost 3 hours to get our room once's arrived on the Nov. 21st while regular level customer where in their room already. I complained to supervisor Mr. Velazquez there but he could not help. On Sunday Nov 23 we arrived at 330 AM very tired and we were locked out; we had No access to ito our room 8268. The resort had mistakenly checked out and locked us out. On the Nov 25th there was a power outage for a while light came back on but Not the water to shower with. I am attaching a picture of my plate with raw meat. Every time I request Medium well it came out raw. The food experience was the worst. Additionally, the food quality and customer service of facilities did not reflect the value or reputation associated with your brand. This created a disappointing experience that did not justify the cost of the stay. I request that this matter be reviewed seriously, and I would appreciate a formal response regarding how the resort intends to address these concerns. I trust that appropriate action will be taken to ensure future guests receive

This is pretty big resort, LOTS to do. The restaurants are reservations only, sucks that the only restaurant I wanted to try we weren’t able to get a reservation for the entire week we were there. Staff doesn’t speak English, so it was kind of hard to communicate with the majority of them. And they aren’t too friendly either, at breakfast/lunch we would sit down at a table and no one would come to greet us or ask if we wanted drinks for a long while, well into our meal, they would come and again no English so it was definitely a bit difficult. The family suites are a bit outdated. They could renovate the bathrooms at least. The beach was our favorite! Big, plenty of shade from the palm trees. The evening shows were okay. I would recommend the place because there are lots to do here, lots of restaurants to pick from and so many food options, something for everyone.

Desde que llegamos teníamos deseos de regresarnos a nuestro hogar. El proceso para el check in muy demorado. La habitación se supone que nos la entregaran a las 3:15 y casi nos la entregaron a las 4:30. Si saben que es una semana de mucho flujo de personas deberían prepararse con más personal para el proceso de check in.La comida en los buffets siempre estaba fría, el sabor no era el mejor, el olor al entrar era un poco desagradable. Moscas alrededor de la comida. El personal en el area de los buffets se veía agotado y no muy servicial, no eran atentos(no todos). Por el contrario, de todos los restaurantes a la carta que visitamos, la atención y la comida del Dolce Vita fue espectacular. Del 1 al 5 le damos 5. Muchas gracias a su gerente Cristian Valenzuela por su amabilidad. La habitación estuvo bien, aunque el área de la ducha no tenía nada de privacidad, pues no tienen puertas y estábamos con nuestra hija. A lo que mi esposo se duchaba ella tenía que salirse a la terraza. Las habitaciones tienen jacuzzi y aunque no funcionaba del todo lo pudimos utilizar. El teléfono de la habitación no funcionaba, se reporto en tres ocasiones y nadie fue a verificarlo.El sábado salimos para hacer un excursión y cuando llegamos no habían limpiado la habitación y no habían rellenado el minibar. Mi esposo tuvo que reportarlo para que fueran a hacerlo. A pesar de ser un todo incluido el room service no era incluido como en los otros hoteles que nos hemos quedado en Punta Cana y México.
