It was a spur of the moment for a trip to Vermont and New Hampshire with our 2 dogs still had snow so couldn't walk around. Nice room bed comfy.

Off the beaten path but it is only a 5 to ten minute ride to Brattleboro. Also the food co-op across the street serves very good prepared meals.

Liked the convenience of easy-on, and easy off I-91. The room was spacious and comfortable. Bathroom was clean and fixtures were like new. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was forgettable. Nothing fancy. But they did have hot waffles. All the staff were helpful and friendly. This is a no-frills roadside motel priced affordably. Glad I stayed at the Putney Inn.

Great location and a comfortable stay

We enjoy our stay and the convenience of the toaster (for our own bread) in the lobby and hot water (for our own drinks), that we are allowed to use. The hotel is generally clean but we did encounter trash next to the bed and also the hair dryer once time still plugged into the wall. There we would recommend to retrain the cleaning crew to ensure that everything is cleaned and cleaned out and that everything is put back in its place.

You get what you pay for. Cant complain for the price we paid. Friendly staff, great cheap place to stay if you're looking to ski the surrounding resorts. Overall cleanliness was good enough for the price, there where a few things that could've been better but if you're simply looking for a place to sleep you won't notice. One thing worth mentioning is the really odd window peeking directly into the bathroom where anyone over 6'2 could watch you do your business. I think the owner should at least put some stick-on stained glass if not curtains. I will say again the price point makes up for the minor drawbacks and this is a perfect place to stay for a weekend ski getaway.
