Excellent location opposite Quechee Gorge; quaint, charming old-time Inn; very quiet. The on-premises restaurant was outstanding, both in terms of the food and the serving staff. My wife and I greatly enjoyed our dinner and next morning's excellent breakfast. On the minus side, the air conditioner cycled on/off frequently in short, annoying bursts. The room furniture was eclectic and dated, although the bed was comfortable. The old plank floors creaked noisily, which didn't really bother us, but we wondered how anyone happening to occupy the room beneath us would have felt about the noise.

We reserved 2 deluxe queen rooms. One was spacious with a fireplace and 4 large windows. The other was small with 2 windows that didn’t open and it stunk of fabulosa cleaning product. Could still smell it after 2 days. Also bed gave us back aches in both rooms.
