I rented a wheelchair accessible room. When I arrived I was informed that they gave the room to someone else and had no more accessible rooms. It was not an option for me to stay in a regular room, staff acted like I was out of luck. I had to ask staff to call the room and explain the situation which they reluctantly did. The guests in the room were understanding and moved rooms. I am not an unreasonable person, however staff insisted that the people checked in under my name which they did not. Staff took zero responsibility which was simply rude. We had to wait so long for everything to get sorted and cleaned that we missed the entire cocktail hour and a half of the wedding we were in town to attend. Staff handled this very poorly and made us feel like we did something wrong when all we tried to do was check into our hotel room. I booked at the Marriott because I thought they cared about people with disabilities. I was very hurt by how we were treated and that I had to take control of the situation to resolve the error. Poor customer service.
