A pet room was reserved but never requested by Expedia but they fixed that a gave me another room not for pets. Room appeared to be clean at check in but coming back after dinner my mom found 2 bed bugs on her pillow. Requested someone come to our room & after 30 minutes noone had showed up i went to the front desk. Clerk stated she had just come on duty & apologized & said they were booked up but after searching again she offered us a new room. She didnt act surprised so I think she was aware of the situation. We checked out the room [BED] & decided we would take it. I chose the check out option over the phone text & hotel stated a receipt would be sent shortly, i have yet to see one, been 2 days. I.saw the charge on my bank statement thou. Not a real good experience this time. You would think a manager would have come to talk with us about our room condition before we checked out or some kind of correspondence from the hotel but nothing.

Property was very clean and had updated interior and rooms. Breakfast staff was very friendly and food was plentiful. Good place to stop for the night off I-95 in NC.

Our room waa clean but had thr lingering smell of smoke which bothered us all night. Otherwise it was good. Have staywd here once before and the other room did not have this smell, so it is hit or miss. All else great.
