The property is conveniently located, though a car is still needed to get into town. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet, with comfortable beds, good heating, and a sizeable fridge. The furnishings were older than expected, but this wasn’t an issue. The bathtub had spa jets that didn’t work — not in the listing, so not a scam, just a brief moment of joy followed by mild disappointment. We had difficulty reaching reception prior to arrival, though check-in and check-out were smooth — likely because we arrived and departed outside of peak hours. Our room was on the first floor with no lift or ramp access, making it tricky to bring up our luggage trolley. Fortunately, the staff were kind enough to deliver our bags using the staff lift. Overall, a pleasant stay.

This hotel in its hey day would have been amazing. The years have been a little unkind and the hotel rooms are tired. The bathroom fittings are old or spoiled by the sulphure in the air, our toilet kept over flowing when the cistern was full randomly, and toilet door had obviously seen a leak in the past with swelling, and kitchenette tap had a slow leak. However, the beds were clean, as was the rest of the room and facilities. The heating was great throughout keeping the hotel warm mid winter, and to be honest, I would happily stay there again.

A bit tired and toilet se could have been cleaner. Splashes of coffee(?( on heater and wall in main room. No dw liquid ni glasses that I could see but the room was a great price, the bed very comfortable, hotel was lovely and warm. Breakfast was good and included in the price. We actually pd for breakfast but got a phone call straight away to come back for a refund. Would definitely stay here again

Arawa is a tired hotel in much need of updating. Dont pay attention to the photos they must be very old/borderline fraudulent. It was cheap, functional and clean but will be trying somewhere else next time

This hotel needs a complete overhaul. The beds were squishy, the fittings in the room ancient. The breakfast buffet was overpriced, not much selection and inedible. The carpets were gross. It was a very negative experience
