My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Alcadia and couldn’t have asked for more. The renovation is immediately apparent — everything feels fresh, modern, and thoughtfully done. The beds are seriously comfortable. The location is a standout. We were close to everything we wanted to explore, which made the whole trip effortless. Great value, great vibe. The hotel was being renovated while we stayed there so I hope that it gets updated nicely. The rooms are a bit outdated. The door in my bathroom was broken. But it was a convenient location to get around to all the sight seeing places in San Diego.

The property itself was very clean, the room was clean, parking was safe, they're still under construction, and renovations. The elevator was working. The only thing that I can say negative is that the walls are not sound proof, there was a man in the room next to mines, yelling all night and slaming things, fighting I couldn't sleep all night. I can compare this hotel with a motel 6. The only difference is their amenities. They also charged me for the room in advance and after I arrived they took $100 more as "deposit ", which supposedly will return to me in 7 days.
