The exterior is a bit run down, but the room was clean, in good shape, and looked like it may have been renovated not long ago. The staff was very nice and helpful. It's on Highway 1 and close to downtown SLO.

The room was ok, everything seemed somewhat clean. Some issues I noticed were the sink was slow, water would hardly drain. And the bed sheets didn’t seem clean at all, there appeared to be hairs between every layer. It wasn’t the worst but I probably won’t stay here again.

The rooms were updated nicely, but, the wall heater/ac unit was still a refugee from the 1960's. The baseboards had some staining. The largish window in the shower was clear glass. Otherwise, the parking lot between the actual rooms and Santa Rosa Rd helped keep the road noise down considerably.

The staff was friendly and efficient. The room may have been the cleanest hotel room I have ever stayed in at any level. It isn’t luxurious, but it is tidy and comfortable. Only critique would be to change the soap/shampoo in the bathroom as mine had started to separate. It was not a big deal at all, though. I would definitely stay again and advise anyone else looking for a reasonably priced, clean and safe place to stay near Cal Poly to considered giving it a shot.
