We liked the location as we were directly across from the beach and walking path. We enjoyed daily breakfast on the patio overlooking the beautiful view. We were only passing through but loved the stay so much we decided to return and book another night. The staff were friendly and offered dining suggestions, but it was tough finding a place to have dinner. However we took a 5 minute drive to downtown where we enjoyed a lovely dinner at the Sows Ear. We walked daily and interacted with other guests. This was a pleasant visit and we plan to return for another stay.

Beautiful property! Very clean and decorated with a retro California coast feel. Front office staff was amazing and and we received a free bottle of Cava when we checked in for our stay. The office had a great sitting area with a perfect ocean/sunset view and a roaring fireplace. There is also a deck with wind screen overlooking the ocean. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!

Small and compact

Cute little place for an overnight stay but no good if part of a longer trip. The room we stayed in was very small with no room for luggage. A little overpriced for what you get in my opinion. The wardrobe has space for a suitcase but only a small one. We were on a 3 week trip so had lots of luggage. Great location right on Moonstone Beach. A couple of restaurants within walking distance. Nice touch of binoculars in the room!

Convenient, clean, good room. Nothing fancy, but really a nice stay. Staff was lovely and friendly. The view and the walk ability was great. Overall relaxing stay. Breakfast include some tasty instant oatmeal options, sweat bread from a local bakery, coffee, tea, juice, hard-boil eggs, and fruit, self service.

This property claims to be higher end than others on the street that didn't turn out to be true and looks much better on photos than in real life. First off, we booked a double queen room with a fireplace but were given a simple queen without because "that's what was left", no reason given why someone else got our room. The worst part was that heating in our room wasn't working properly and we woke up in the middle of the night from how cold it was (Cambria can get pretty cold at night even in May). The room is extremely basic - no fridge, furnished with the cheapest IKEA dresser and side table. Doesn't feel like the lobby area which is definitely selling a different kind of place.

This lodge is located right at the water with a nice balcony area to sit and drink tea in a peaceful setting. Room was great and nice little breakfast served. Would definitely stay here again!

So excited to book this place - a few issues that would elevate the experience of this lodge. Room #2 got very warm even with the fireplace off. There is a window in the front however with curtain open your room is exposed to office and anyone driving into the site. A ceiling fan to circulate air or maybe another side of window openable. The other issue is the noise from loud ppl checking in stopping in front of our room. This is not CBL fault but maybe designate parking further in as it seems there were voices carrying or a reminder that volume around the rooms - didn’t need to hear the therapy session that carried on with a female guest and her partner outside our room. Lastly - no fridge -boo! We received a lovely Cava at check in but no place to keep cool or to chill water. The good was check-in very friendly & helpful. Room was clean, bed comfy. Moonstone Beach steps away, Cambria Main Street shopping & restaurants a short walk or car ride away.
