We loved everything about our stay at the Cavalier Resort especially our room with its fireplace, patio and ocean view. The staff was friendly and attentive, and we liked the convenience of a restaurant at the property. The surrounding area is serenely beautiful, and we will be look forward to our next stay at the Cavalier Resort in San Simeon.

The room smelled. The bathroom floor looked like it hadn't been swept, dirt and hair in the corners. The facuet leaked water on the counter. The 2 chairs in the room were so worned out i had to put a pillows or sink and hit the wood. The only reason I'm writing this is I stayed in the same room last year and it was the same. Very poor housekeeping, I even had to complain about mold in the refrigerator last year. I didn't open the refrigerator on this last trip

Kind staff! They definitely go above and beyond. This place has such a positive and peaceful energy. The grounds are kept up nicely. The rooms are comfortable and clean. We love the rooms in King’s Row, and the rooms in The Terraces right next to the ocean! The ocean view is stunning, and the sunsets are breathtaking!

We stay here four or five times a year and have never run into a situation that I've felt needed a negative review. We bring our dog and always get an upper king's row room and have been satisfied every time. The service is always spot on! I ask for extra wood for the room fireplace and a fresh bucket is always at the door when we return from our walk. Breakfast is always fresh and hot with quality ingrediencies. We always get the Hurst Burger with Bacon and avocado, and it is always cooked to perfection. The beach accesses are wonderful and there are all kinds of hiking trails within walking distance. It is perfect for a couple and their dog to go fet away for a couple of days of R & R!!!!!! See you in a couple of months.

2 unannounced room entries by housekeeping and then housekeeping supervisor 20 min apart. Screw up with the booking Assigned us to a room right by noisy pool so instead of ocean sounds we heard kids playing loudly in pool. Outdated room Fireplace was very nice Bed was very comfortable Acoustic ceiling from the 60/70’s could be asbestos material. Placed us in a room with kids on both sides Soecifically asked for a room that was quiet.
