Needs a re-do

This hotel is badly in need of a facelift. Everything was broken or dirty. Ice machine was broken, hot tub was broken, the shower rod was hanging off the wall. The hook in the bathroom door was broken off. Peeling paint in the stairwell and grubby carpets throughout. They shouldn’t be allowed to charge money for a hotel in this condition. Staff was friendly and tried to be helpful; very sad for them that they have to work there.

The room smelled, the shower curtain was loose from the wall! No grab bar in shower! Toilet was too low for 81 year old man with bad knees! Back door was unkept!

Way overpriced, for $250 CA i was expected room better maintained with a proper bathroom, and sink. The room is old, had to unplugged the fridge because it’s so loud. Super thin blanket. It would be fine if i had paid half the price, then i wouldn’t mind the old carpet, patchwork on the walls tiny sink etc

The front desk staff was beyond rude. Our check in staff was kind and courteous , however the evening staff (a couple) greeted us rudely. After experiencing her outburst regarding our extremely well mannered Golden Retrievers, we laid awake most of the evening, contemplating packing up and leaving Days Inn. We were very upfront regarding our dogs. We never, ever tried to “SNEAK” them in. As Senior Citizens, and a disabled Veteran we totally live by the rules. At check out, the ranting, over the top desk clerk, started a conversation regarding that fact that we felt we were treated poorly. We couldn’t understand what she was saying, but she most certainly never offered an apology. The language barrier was difficult, and perhaps her customer service skills would benefit with some peer coaching.

Thegrounds were in terrible shape…didn’t look like it had been mowed at all…our room, the fridge didn’t work, the phone didn’t work, when I went down, the lady had earphones on and watching tv while folding towels….I had to call back after we changed rooms, and she never did answer…very disappointed.
