Hidden Gem

Great house in a quiet neighborhood! Very well stocked home and kitchen, lovely outdoor deck with partial oven view and lots of seating to relax and enjoy, great BBQ, and everything you would need for a day at the beach. We loved being so close to the Manresa state beach, Aptos, and Capitola but yet did not feel like we were in the high tourist area. Lori was a great host and the beautiful fresh flowers and welcome goodies were such a sweet touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Great for young families

I came to Holiday House with my two young kids for Spring Break. We loved the cozy charm and mid-century vibes. The kitchen has high end appliances and was well thought out with everything we needed. The bedrooms were very comfortable and linens were clean and plentiful. We loved Manresa State Beach, a short drive away and picture perfect California sunsets. We did encounter a few spiders during the week, but that’s not surprising considering the beautiful wildflower meadows on both sides of the house. The sunflowers, strawberries, and farm fresh eggs at check in were a delight! The proximity to Watsonville for groceries was a plus. Definitely check out Seascape Foods for last minute items, including Marianne’s ice cream! So happy I found this cozy beach cottage!

The house was well equipped with kitchen and household items. It felt like a home. Beds were comfortable enough, and the host is very responsive. Some drawbacks include lack of upkeep in the front/back lawn areas, insects inside the house (ants and spiders), and lack of air conditioning.

Wonderful home at Monterey Bay

This house is a real gem! We enjoyed our stay so much! The house is beautifully furnished and very well equipped. We haven’t missed anything! Everything was comfortable from the beds to the terrace with ocean view. In the mornings when the fog is often in the bay, our teenage son and us enjoyed table tennis and later in the day, when usually the sun is coming out, we took the boogie board provided by the owners. The beach is only 10 min walk from the house. On our arrival we found a sweet welcome message. There were even beach towels for us to use. The owners thought of everything! Next time we bring our golf bags.

Wonderful Stay

The Holiday House was exactly what we had hoped for. The home is very clean and well appointed. The beds were comfy and the deck was amazing. The deck has great ocean views and is a perfect morning coffee spot. Looking forward to renting again next year. Lori was great to work with.

Great location with views!

Had such a great stay at the "Holiday House"! The place is in such a great location and so close to the beach! Spotless inside and had everything you could possibly need. Definitely will be our go to place when we go back to the area. Owner was so easy to communicate with too if you have any questions or concerns.

quiet place with nice views!

Host was awesome, superb level of detail in her communications/recommendations. Very nice touches throughout the home. Best set of cookware I've seen in a vacation rental, as well as a nice outdoor grill that actually had propane (including a backup!) - a rare feat! The outdoor area has great views and really comfortable furniture. Quiet neighborhood too, which was nice. Absolutely would stay again!

Convenient location and easy communication

Small but nice.

A very nice house in a beautiful neighborhood. It isnt a long walk to the beach at all but pack lightly as the return trip is uphill. We had littles with us so a small challenge. 🙂 The home is fully stocked and very clean. Its an older home but cared for and loved. The decor is delightful and has the Cali beachy vibe. We were gifted with Ice cream cards from the host on arrival and used them on our last nights stay. The ice cream was AMAZING! What a nice thing to do and such a sweet surprise. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you for sharing your home.

Birthday escape

It was a very lovely and cozy home in a very good and quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to the beach! It was the birthday of 2 of our boys and they love being so close to the beach! The place was clean and it was easy to reach Lori for questions! Since we came in late for iur check in it was a pleasant surprise to see fresh bread from Lori and the boys devoured it! Will defnitwly stay again!

Great Rental

5 minutes to beach. Great deck with bbq. Perfect for family of five. The bread the owner left makes the best grilled cheese. Only suggestions would be to trim up the outside a bit, replace the ping pong table and fix the outside shower.

We had a great time in La Selva Beach: the house, the terrace and the beach walks make us a wonderful stay. An unexpected nice surprice have been the fresh flowers and the fresh bread at our arrival. We really enjoyed the relaxing time.

We had a great spring break visit. Had family staying up the road at the KOA and it was great to have our own place but be close. 15 minutes away from most tourist locations. House was clean and had everything we would need. Would stay again!

We loved it here so much last time that we returned to the property. Not only did we have an amazing time but we also found that Lori had acted on feedback from our last stay. Comfy beds, great water pressure in the shower, walks to the beach that we had all to ourselves, stargazing from the balcony hammock, listening to waves all night... our daughter informed us that we need to move to this house. 🤣

Fabulous stay

This is a wonderful property that we were so happy to find this year! The beach was a short walk and pristine! We have been coming for years and never been happier with our beach location. We were even treated to humpback whales on our last morning, such a blessing! Owners were very kind and extremely prompt with any communication. We hope to visit this lovely home again!

Great Beach House

This cute beach house is on a nice street, a short walk to the beach. You can see the ocean from the back deck. The house was well equipped with all the kitchen items, the beds were comfortable, and everything was clean. Lori, the host, even had a pretty vase of flowers, candy and a nice note welcoming us. We enjoyed our long weekend very much.
