My stay at Whala! Boca Chica wasn’t the experience I hoped for. The vendors on the beach were constantly approaching us, which made it hard to relax. The food was disappointing overall …breakfast was the only meal we truly enjoyed. The room and bathroom felt outdated, and there were extra charges that didn’t feel appropriate for an all-inclusive stay. You’re required to leave a $20 deposit just to get pool towels, and there’s an additional $3 per day fee to use the in-room safe. The beach itself was amazing (note no life guard on duty), but overall the stay didn’t meet our expectations. You get what you pay for.

The room was clean, the beach was beautiful. Overall the food was nasty but you can find something to eat like : a fresh omelet for breakfast, the homemade pasta dishes for lunch and for dinner- walk down the beach. There are plenty of good options there. You get what you pay for but know that the people are friendly and sitting or walking in the crystal clear beach water will help you forget life worries and provide a peaceful reset. I travel very often and will make visiting Whala a yearly thing.

Siempre que voy a Santo Domingo, la visito, y la recomiendo 100% ya que tiene todo lo que yo necesito, piscina, playa, bebida gratis, comida, taxi disponible, y lo más importante mucha seguridad ya que tiene una excelente seguridad privada y en la playa la policía local

You get what you pay for. The rooms are not great, with hard beds and not enough pillows or sheets/blankets. The staff is often overwhelmed with a lot of limited space. They allow too many day-passes and should cap the amount of people they allow in per day. This puts a strain on the staff and quality of service. Buffet was decent, access to the beach was nice, and many bathrooms on site

There wasn't enough food, plates or cups in the snack bar and it was supposed to be an all inclusive. We booked because in Expedia said that it included shuttle to the airport, bit when we arrived they said that they could only book us a cab.
