First of all, there were no "do not disturb" tags for any of the doors. The maid knocked on the door and we told her to come back later. We left within 10 minutes, but she never returned. The next today we wanted to use the iron. It did not work. We asked for a new one. The maid asked my sister to speak into the phone to say what she needed. She then returned with a bag containing a hair dryer. I had to open the bag to show her it was a hair dryer, not an iron. She left again. She then returned with an iron that also did not work. I sought her out in another room. I used Google translate on my phone to explain that neither iron would get hot. I then spied a different type of iron in the room she was in and took that one. It worked fine. Also, on the one occasion when the room was cleaned, the beds were not made, the floors were not vacuumed, etc. Also, our key cards had to be redone EVERY TIME we tried to enter the room. That is, they worked when we first got there, but after we left the next morning and returned they didn't work. The man at the counter said this had been happening to everyone. The staff at the front desk was polite and helpful every time.

Big Yikes

We have stayed at a plethora of hotels throughout the years on business trips, family trips, and even solo trips, so I feel I can say (with experience) that this had to be one of the most uncomfortable stays at a hotel (with the exception of the staff). Upon arrival, the front desk staff was so welcoming and helpful. They also helped us when we realized our room had a strong cologne odor, and assisted us with checking out another room… which leads us to the next thing: the smells throughout the rooms. When going inside our room, the pungent smell of cologne was the first thing we noticed. We also saw some stains in the corner of the walls behind the beds, on the windowsills, and the tub. I usually carry Lysol/clorox wipes for a quick wipe down of the bathrooms, so I cleaned what I could to make sure my fam would be okay. My husband did go down to ask for the room change, but changed his mind of changing rooms once he entered another. The other had a much worse smell, which was described as “wet dog”, “musty” “pee”. We stayed in what we were (it didn’t smell odd other than cologne) and that was that. Besides that, it was quiet, convenient location, and staff was great. It definitely needs attention, as it is not updated, not modern. TV has the most basic channels, wifi was okay, and breakfast was just alright. There’s a bunch of reviews that say it was a great stay- which why we booked- and I wish I could say it was- but no. Please read the most RECENT reviews!!!
