Would stay again

Check-in was simple and not a hassle - within 2-3 minutes of arriving at the office we had access to the room. The room was a bit smaller than it looked like from the photos, but it was fine for the wife and I. The room was very clean and, of coourse, our first check was the sheets and mattress - both quite clean and of no concern. Every unit has a little patio space with a little table (a nice little surprise as I don’t think they show that in the photos) and a couple chairs which we used to play cards in the evening. The breakfasts were the usual fare - eggs sausage, toast creal, yogurt, bagels, etc and tasted pretty good (I've had much worse at "fancier" hotels). Tge motel is right across from the locks and right smack in the middle of the shopping district which made for convenient walks to shops, restaurants, etc. The wife and I liked hearing the horn blasts from the ships coming through the locks periodically. Traffic sounds weren't really as issue for us. The one negative I would say is that the walls are pretty thin and you can hear your neighbors conversations pretty easily. Overall, we enjoyed our stay (two nights) and would certainly stay there again (although would probably opt for one of the larger rooms next time).

Stay at the Lockview Motel! Great place!!

I had a terrific stay at Lockview Motel. The rooms are updated and extremely clean. Every staff member that I interacted with were all very friendly and accommodating. I'm a Housekeeper in a motel myself so I'm critical and I know what to look for. Everything about Lockview was above my expectations! If I ever get back to the Soo I will definitely stay there again! Thank you all!!

Perfect location and close to everything. Parking on site and easy to get in and out of. We stayed an extra night so we could go through the locks in the morning. You are literally across the road from the lock observation platform and park. Comfy beds and this place was 100% dog friendly.

Come back every year

No table or chair in the room to sit at which made eating inconvenient. Holes in the walls and incomplete painting. Due to updating. It was clean though and staff were great. You can’t beat the location.

Was a lovely room. Freshly painted it seemed. The bed was king size and fabulous. A bit high and I’m 5’9”. If I was to say anything negative it would be that the window air unit was LOUD. I slept through it. The location is very good. Right by everything and great parking. Oops I forgot. The recliner was broken. Hahaha. That was funny. Seems to me a place that makes over 150.00 a night could have a decent chair. The bed made everything ok. A good bed is all I need. And a toilet. Shower. 😻

We loved our room newly decorated with a rustic touch. Everyone was very helpful. Parking at some of the cabins was a little tight if you wanted to be close to your room. But being downtown you can walk to everything g. The boat tours are fun around the locks.
