Rooms were clean, staff was very friendly and accommodating, but the pool was kind of dirty and not heated. I’m from Wisconsin, not the south and maybe pools aren’t heated down here, but it was like the coldest week in January and the water was quite cold. Even so, for the price, this place was definitely worth it. Good breakfast too.

Best Western? More Like Worst Western. I booked this place thinking “Best Western” meant at least okay. Turns out the “best” part must be west of somewhere else. The room smelled like it had hosted a convention for mildew. The carpet was so stained it looked like it had lived a full life before me. The bed was less “restful retreat” and more “frontier-era punishment.” If this mattress were any flatter, it’d qualify as historical land. The bathroom was a wild west experience. Low water pressure, questionable cleanliness, and towels so thin they should’ve come with a warning label. I’ve had sturdier paper towels at a gas station. Staff was polite enough, but polite can’t fix broken, dated, and tired. The whole place feels like it stopped updating right after the Oregon Trail ended. If you’re looking for a true western experience complete with rough conditions and survival instincts, this is your spot. If you’re looking for comfort, keep riding.
