The room was nice and the view from the balcony was beautiful! However, that's where the charm ended. We feel that the lack of servicing our room took its toll. We had to go to the desk and ask for fresh towels and toilet paper because our room wasn't serviced. We were told our room would be serviced within 4 days of our arrival, but it wasn't. We were asked to put our dirty towels in a plastic bag along with the trash and put them outside our room. We slept on the same sheets for the entire week. Luckily, we are clean people. We have never had to service our own dirty towels and trash after paying good money to stay at a hotel. The breakfast was disappointing, with only fruit, yogurt, and granola bars. We spent additional money on breakfast, which we hadn't anticipated having to pay during our stay, as we had assumed we would have better breakfast choices at the hotel. Limited parking was also an issue. Especially when the lot the hotel uses across the street was free parking for the public, and we were lucky enough to find a spot to park!

Just about everything was terrific about the place except the breakfasts. It consists of granola bars and some fruit. Compared to other places we stayed at, it was disappointing. Otherwise, a great place and location.

I stayed at Matterhorn Inn in Sedona for 2 nights from May 1st to 3rd in a 2 bedroom suite. The place was clean and the location was decent. However, be aware of parking situation.There were 24 hotel units but only 14 parking spots (excluding handicap). When I arrived, no parking space was available. I parked the Matterhorn Lot 4 which was across the street which is a public parking lot allowing only 3 hours, so I parked one of the Matterhorn assigned parking spaces for Matterhorn staff. I got a parking citation for $60 fine by Sedona Police Department next morning. I talked to the front desk and the woman said there’s nothing they can do even though the police enforcement was on their behalf. They didn’t provide parking for the guests but they have reserved parking for the staff and let the guests pay for the parking fine after paying over $1,000 for 2 nights.

Superb stay!

I had a wonderful stay at the Matterhorn Inn! The view from the room was breathtaking and I loved the private balcony. I could view the beautiful red rocks from the bed or the balcony! The room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly (most especially the manager), and it was quiet at night. As a solo female traveler, I felt extremely safe and the location was within walking distance to so many shops and wonderful restaurants. Super convenient location, especially if you don't have a car. Even though the hotel is located in a busy town on the main road, it was amazingly quiet and peaceful. I have nothing bad to say. Everything was perfect! I would certainly come back and stay again at the Matterhorn Inn in beautiful Sedona!

Although an older motel property, the interior rooms have been updated, are very modern, and spacious. Location is very good and the property is easy to get to. We also liked the hot tub. The only downside is that the breakfast consists of granola bars, bananas, yogurt, and some milk and juice. However, that’s generally pretty satisfying.

If your priority is the Uptown location and the view this is the place for you. Be aware parking spaces are limited and if you arrive later in the day there may not be a spot for you. Desk attendant on check-in acted as if it was a bother to serve us. Also no night manager.
