We really liked staying at this hotel , despite it being far from everything the hotel offered us an amazing taxi service.
The view was out of this world , quiet , peaceful, and sitting on the balcony and swimming in the pool felt like a dream .
Breakfast was basic but very tasty , no restaurant on site but hotel does very tasty paninis.
If you are coming to this hotel please go to sorrento you will not regret it !
Overall , loved it and would stay again .
Staff and foreign guests are poorly treated by the director.

The view was great. But the air conditioning was not working in the room so I couldn’t sleep. Also in the morning the guy at the desk was demanding I pay the tourist tax in cash and I didn’t have any cash and he got very angry until I started walking out when he finally said ok credit card will work but nowhere on the reservation did it say the tourist tax must be paid in cash
Arrived and were welcomed by a lovely, truly Italian signore! The hotel was excellent, with the best panoramic view over the Sorrento coast. The staff were super friendly, everything was very clean, ( cleaning room and changing towels every day !) , enjoyed our breakfast and we truly felt at home.
Loved the swimming pool – definitely my favourite part.
Thank you
Great hotel, view was absolutely stunning and the pool was great. However, the customer service was not friendly, so many restrictions and management doesn’t want to give out more then two towels. But overall our stay was great, just recommend customer service be better.

Hard to get to, nothing near by, you have to take a taxi everywere you go, pool hours are ridiculous, no pool towels, manager is rude and disrespectful
The hotel is located in a beautiful area and has a great potential. The room was nice, clean, with a huge terrace. Unfortunately, the water of the bathroom was cold or on the best days tepid, with nearly no pressure, which made showers unpleasant and challenging.
The breakfast was particularly underwhelming, the personnel was not unpleasant but also not particularly welcoming.
The WiFi, supposedly limited to public areas was in fact not working.
We were particularly irritated by a rule of the hotel that forbid customers to eat in their room.
All in all, we did not understand what justified the 3 stars of the hotel. We will surely not return.
Hotel Mega Mare is located BEAUTIFULLY right off the main road up the Amalfi Coast. The building itself is beautiful with clearly a lot of history behind it. Hand painted tile floors & opulent wood details. So pretty ♥️ If you were planning on using the Internet a lot on your trip, keep in mind that we were never able to get WiFi to work in our room - Only in the bar and just a little bit of service out on the balcony. We were a little confused by the rules saying that we weren't allowed to eat or drink in our room, but there was a fully stocked mini bar?? Kind of felt like they were just trying to get us to buy their refreshments. The beds were fairly comfortable. The hot water did run out before my husband and I could both take showers. Overall, it was a great place to land after a day exploring the town but I wouldn't exactly recommend staying longer than a couple of days.
I booked this place outside Sorrento for the view and it did nont disappoint . I could sit on that balcony for a long time looking over the bay and Sorrento. Stunning!
Views are stunning, hotel is clean, breakfast is nice. Unfortunately the beds are very uncomfortable and the wifi/service in general does not work in the rooms. Additionally, the main issue was that the hotel is on a very busy main road up on the cliffs meaning you cannot walk anywhere and every taxi driver would charge €50 knowing that they would have to drive all the way up and back because there is nothing around the hotel. But if you have a car then the hotel is totally worth it for the low price and views!
This is a hotel with a million dollar view. We had a room with sea view. Balcony was perfect to sit and enjoy the view of the city and the sea. Room was clean and housekeeping was prompt. Owner was very nice. Highly recommend this hotel.
Just a few tips for future travelers.
-Hotel sits on a cliff and about 15 minutes away to the city center. Taxi costs about €55 one way so a car is a must as there’s no public transportation.
-Towels are made out of thin fabric. Bring your own bath towel.
-Breakfast is light. A bit disappointing there was no items like tomatoes or cucumbers or any other healthy options. They offered cookies kind of items, croissants, boiled eggs and a couple of meat items. Service was good and staff was friendly.
-There’s weak internet in the room. Best signal is in the lobby area.
The location and views are spectacular but the owner is a bit of a tyrant. No pool towels provided so you have to take your bath towel to the pool. Ours got dirty from the chairs and we could not get clean towels after 6pm because “ they were locked up for the night”. We requested ice in our bucket to keep the bottle of wine chill and the owner told us “no, you don’t need ice”.
The view and hotel are great, the rules of the hotel are Not. You cant take your safe and room key with you, you have to leave it. Hotel areas close quiet early, staff is kind however owner is not
