Baymont Inn in South Bend

3 day 2 night stay in South Bend for conference at ND. Hotel is fine if all you need is an affordable room. Area around hotel has restaurants and other amenities.

While there were a few sub par moments at this hotel, it was quiet and we had a great night's sleep and a predictable but yummy hotel waffle in the morning. It was not far from Notre Dame with lots of eateries very close by, and the manager was helpful.

The door for the room we stayed in didn’t seem very secure. You had to really make sure the door shut. Looked like it may have been kicked in. The mattress was not comfortable, but my biggest concern was the tub in the bathroom . It v’d down and you couldn’t stand in the middle . It felt like you’d fall through

The staff was rude, the room as dirty and the paint was coming off the walls, there was mold in the bathroom. Got a text to check out selected 12pm and the front desk or manager knocked on the door and was rude and told us to hurry up and leave check out was at 11am. when I stated that we had a 12pm check out he yelled at me and said no I don't hurry up and get out. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in not to mention the pool was closed and they would not tell us why either.

I usually stay here when I’m in town. This time was a very bad experience, we kept getting a wake up call at 5am(not ordered) the fire sprinkler had paper towel sticking under and out of it in the wall, the toilet leaked and was making a dripping sound the whole time, the heat and ac was broken temp at 65 made it lava hot and temp at 70 made it ice. Like staying. There due to the cheapness and convenience to the shops but the king size room up the top of the stairs is a no for me.

The sheets in the first room they provided were dirty and then the second room exposed a roach at midnight when I was showering.

Have staye s here with the family for another week to give the stay experience another chance from our previous stay here and staff here welcomed us back with warmth and completly superceded our expectations. We felt like they took our last review to heart and went out of their way to make us feel genuinely welcomed! Great family atmosphere and location! The staff actually cates about your concerns and will tend to them. ♡
