Great Condo with Basic Amenities

Very nice condo and complex. Good location. Description is accurate but there are no extras...no beach towels, toys, or chairs. That's a lot to pack if you are flying in. Also, bring your own coffee, sugar & creamer...first days coffee not provided. Not a big deal but, we got in after midnight, it would have been nice to be able to brew a pot when we woke up.

Great location, non- responsive management

The location of this property is perfect if you are looking for a short walk to the beach. However, we had a couple of issues with the unit. First, we accidentally got locked out of our unit, made multiple calls to management and called the emergency number provided. We finally got back in, but never received a return call from management. Second, the shower head in the guest bathroom did not work. We didn't report to management because we knew we would not hear back from them. A second shower is one of the reasons that we selected this unit. Third, the pool was under construction, which we were not notified ahead of time. Beyond those issues, the overall property is nice, location is perfect, but I don't know if I would stay there again.

The price was right. The building is dated but taken care of and it was a quiet enjoyable location with great access to the beach. The apartment was spacious and very nice kitchen, living room and patio. Sleeping was very uncomfortable. Mattresses were all too soft and sagged in the middle. I used a pillow in the center to lift it up but uncomfortable. Eventually slept on the twin. No blow dryer. Batteries dead on remote and no hot water in one shower. Overall clean but bathrooms had mold and hair on shower wall. Dryer vent in laundry room was disconnected, so lint was on walls.

Peaceful

Rented this unit to recharge - and this place didn’t disappoint. I don’t know if it’s because it’s off season as we stayed in October but I love how quiet it was!!! Clean and comfortable and it has everything we needed and more. I loved the bed and the sheets. Love the washing machine and dryer in the unit. Location is awesome with beach view (partial as you don’t see the sunrise/sunset due to the angle but it’s ok since the beach is literally a few steps away). Communication with the host is fast. Thank you. I’ve stayed in Sunchase in different units multiple times and this one is by far my favorite because their internet is the fastest out of all I’ve ever stayed at in the island!!! I’m. It sure it it’s because of their location… but you need fast internet - this place delivered!!!!! For improvement: Broken patio furnitures need to be taken out as not to take space. I personally prefer the high chair ones so you can see the beach better. There’s only 1. Although there’s a whole chair table set that’s shorter for 4 people. Overall i will definitely want to stay here again!!!!

My over all experience was good. I love the location the condo was clean. There are a few things that need to be fixed. The ice maker did not work. The bacony and master bedroom doors stuck really bad had to slam them close.

Amazing

This place was amazing and quiet. We had access straight to the beach through a back gate so we loved the place. There were not many people around which was also great! Overall we were very happy with our stay and will definitely be going back. I received all the info I needed to have access to the place. Just like in the pictures. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic beach getaway

Blown away by this place! We loved every minute of it. Premium parking, super close to the beach. Great direct walking access and a shower right by the gate to wash off the flip flops. We loved it!!

Great once you get in

The place was nice and comfy, and the kitchen was pretty well stocked. We never received the door code via email. I had to call and sit on-hold for 30 min., they gave me the lock box code and there was no key inside. I called back and sat on-hold for 30 more min. To get the code for the backup lockbox. It was very frustrating. Once we were in everything was good. Bring extra laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent and a large cutting board from home.

Great Quick Get a way

We enjoyed our quick stay and would have loved to have stayed longer. The condo has a huge kitchen compared to many of the others we have stayed at so for us that's a big plus. Will be back soon. If there was any take away from our stay I would have to say its the parking, very limited "and only can have one vehicle" but that wont keep us from coming again.

Yearly Vacation

We visit South Padre Island every year and have really enjoyed staying at Sunchase Beachfront Condos. The condo we usually stay in was sold, so we found this one and gave it a try. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the condo very much. The kitchen, especially, was so spacious and convenient for us...even with 4 kids. We will definitely be back.

The location was excellent as was the condo layout. Sadly, the living room furniture is old and very, very uncomfortable to sit on. The recliner would not open if closed while struggling to get out of. We needed to use one of the dining chairs to sit on due to how uncomfortable the chairs and futon, not couch, were. It’s unfortunate that we report on the furniture as the kitchen and island we’re really great.
