This hotel was a spectacular spot. The parking lot across the street, probably would’ve been fine, but not knowing the area well we opted to valet. Our room was in the secondary building had a lot of of clever urban design appeal. We took advantage of the rooftop bar and then made our way over to the restaurant in the primary building. Our view looked right out onto the street and we had a complete surprise of a meal. It was not inexpensive, but it was excellent and a stand out at any price point.

The two staff members I interacted with were both rude. The check in desk lady was covered in LGBT paraphernalia and seemed to dislike me or men in general from the moment I walked up. The valet guy was annoyed I asked him were I was supposed to park. Sometimes people can't let the valet park their car for any number of reasons. When I choose to stay at what appears to be a better than average hotel in an area it's so I feel relaxed and comfortable. I can sleep at a fleabag motel if I just want to sleep. I was on a long road trip and I wanted to relax and recharge. Two employees pretty much wrecked that in the first 10 minutes. I avoided interactions with any other staff. Instead of using any of the hotel services I went down the block to the burger joint and enjoyed the staff and the food.

The property for the most part is beautiful. Some of the finishes and furnishings are a little worn for only being 10 or 12 years old. The big drawback though is that the Expedia ad does not match the rooms available. The ad literally says showing 11 of 11 rooms for the balcony rooms but the only picture is a room that is vastly different than the room. We got the hotel did their best to make up for this. It ended up being a nice day, but at the end of the day, I still didn’t get the room that I paid for
