For the price this was a great place to stop on our way from NC to Port Canaveral. As others have mentioned, the carpets in the halls and the flooring in the elevator need to be replaced, but our room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly. I’d stay here again next time we’re heading to the port.

Major Disappointment – Should’ve Stayed at the Usual Spot We stayed two nights at this Best Western after normally choosing the Holiday Inn off I-95 in St. Augustine. We decided to give this place a chance based on slightly better reviews—big mistake. The hot water didn’t work either night we stayed, which was incredibly frustrating. The room door handle was difficult to open, and my wife couldn’t manage it at all. Even the bathroom door was hard to operate. When I brought up the hot water issue to the front desk staff, the response was unhelpful and curt. On top of that, the WiFi password never worked, and breakfast kept running out of food. Overall, this was a disappointing experience. We’ll be going back to the Holiday Inn next time—at least things work there.

The hotel is clean overall. The dark carpeting in the rooms feel dirty and maybe because they are so dark. Otherwise the room and hotel were great. A lot of road construction going on around the hotel, not the hotel's fault. We were able to walk to a couple of local restaurants.

The bed was comfortable. But there were no soap dishes or hooks of any kind in the bathroom making it difficult to shower. The provided pillows were all square throw pillows instead of actual sleeping pillows making sleep less comfortable. And, I didn't like the sliding barn door style bathroom door because it was smaller than the opening to the bathroom making it impossible to have full privacy. Finally, half the parking lot was under construction making parking difficult.

The front desk clerk on check in was totally lost. The card for the door to the room took several tries before working. Gnats in the bathroom. I went to go to the hot tub and it was not working, then I could not get out of the pool area. I even called the front desk but as I said the guy at the front was overwhelmed and did not pick up. Luckily other guests came by to use the elevator and I pounded on the door and they opened it for me. The next day I got 2 new keys only one of which worked. The only good thing was the breakfast was very good and plentiful options.

We had a good experience overall. We stayed twice in this hotel. However, the place needs to be updated and cleaned thoroughly. We received a great service by the gentleman at the check in desk. Staff is friendly and helpful. It’s a good value for the price overall
