I guess you get what you pay for? However, the rugs were incredibly dirty, very confusing layout, smelled like chlorine, the pool is in the lobby, This place needs a TON of upgrading.

Good family getaway

This was a great place for a family. Nice pools inside and outside the basketball court and mini golf for fun.

Needs updating but has fun activities

The employees were nice and service was good. But the bathroom was very disappointing. The toilet was loose and the towels were ragged, thin and old. The hotel feels very old and outdated. But we did like the fun things to do - like pickleball courts, basketball and mini golf. They do need to get new pickleball paddles and basketball. For less than $100 they could update their gear.

This is definitely an older hotel but the room was nice and comfortable. Our one complaint was that the refrigerator was so gold our can of coke froze and exploded and my husband's very expensive medicine which required refrigeration but should not be frozen also froze.

The red lion was so much more than just a room we only came for a day trip but after seeing the location I wish I had extended the trip it offered so much more and its location had lots to keep us entertained

This property has a number of negative reviews, but my experience was nothing but positive. They cleaned my room more than the Marriott properties are currently. Breakfast was solid. The property was an older one, but it had hot water, good beds and other things to do on property. Pickleball, basketball, mini golf. It was an awesome week.
