My past experience with Red Lion and guest ratings and price were why I selected this hotel, however, it did not meet expectations. While the front desk staff was courteous and efficient, and housekeeping did a full refresh and tidy when we just wanted a quick off-day of emptying trash and making beds, we couldn’t ignore the fact that hall and stair carpets were sooo dirty plus other issues in the room. We found something sticky on our room carpet right in a traffic area. The room had newer furnishings but the same old carpet and even more worn-out bathroom, featuring peeling paint and a broken grab bar in the shower. The baseboards hadn’t been cleaned in ages and the sink drain was dirty and cracked around it. The bathroom counter was forgotten during the last cleaning. I got the impression that Red Lion acquired this hotel from another brand, but before putting their name on it, they should have done a lot more to improve the reputation. I won’t choose this hotel in St. George again.

The location was near the Dixie Center where we were playing in the Senior World Games. We brought our ebikes and were able to ride them on the bike path to the center. Breakfast had hot food options like waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, tater tots, etc. Guest laundry was available on site. The bathroom was a bit cramped and the maintenance staff never came to show us where we could spray down our muddy bikes. Otherwise I'd given a 5 star rating.

I have stayed here multiple times. The property is older, but very spacious, has good amenities (double pool inside/outside, tennis courts), nice lobby, good breakfast with hot items, cooked oatmeal including, plus the standard stuff, spacious and quiet rooms (esp. if in the back building facing the mountain). Service is good. Location is convenient.

The bed was very comfortable. The venue for the event I was participating in was great and the staff was friendly. One draw back of the property is that there is no elevator, so make sure to ask for floor one if that is an issue.

Clean room; quiet despite most rooms in our section taken; property generally satisfactory but needs some spiffing up, especially building itself (stucco). Staff helpful. Hot breakfast items cold and tasted like cardboard. No cut up fruit. Yogurt and coffee were good.

It's the oldest hotel I've ever had to spend a night in. Old furniture, old beds, and old, non-working air conditioning. I don't understand how I ended up there. Plus, other guests were smoking marijuana. The only good things were the breakfast and the lady at the front desk.

While there are new pickleball and basketball courts outside, the rooms themselves inside are dark, dated and dirty. Towelsnwere small, like sandpaper and need to be replaced. We axrually bought towels after our first night. Overall, not worth what we spent. We could have stayed elsewhere, nicer and for less. We reccomend you do so.
