I chose to stay at this hotel because of the high rating and to be on the lake front. The hotel itself was very clean and the service was top notch; the staff was very friendly and professional. Because I was on the lake front, I had to drive to the main building for breakfast. Breakfast was very nice, with a great set up and a beautiful view. They did also offer a bonfire at night, but again, because of the bugs, I stayed indoors. The only cons was that the hotel I stayed in was more motel style, which I wasn't expecting. Although the description lists it being on the lakefront, the lake is more near by than directly being on the lake. However, may flies are bad this time of year, so I didn't spend much time out by the lake, but it was a beautiful view. I also could not figure out how to turn the bathroom light off. It was on when I came into the room and there didn't seem to be a switch to shut it off. All in all, it was a good overnight stay.

On the road again

Only problem was you had to leave your room and go outside to the main lobby area for breakfast and the temperature was in the thirties and then you had to find a place to park. Otherwise all was good and breakfast was good.

We were very early in the season. The hotel had just opened. The Ice machine was not yet functional so I got ice at the main building. Staff made it a lot of fun. Pool and hot tub area was very nice.

It was advertised that breakfast was 6am-10am. Staff posted a piece of paper on the lobby door in the morning saying that breakfast was 6-9, causing us to miss breakfast based on the days we had planned. It was also advertised that we would be granted discounted Shepler’s ferry tickets, however we were told by staff that they didn’t have any and so the ferry was incredibly expensive.
