This building is old and it shows. It needs some serious updating, for the price you pay one would expect they would have the swimming pool open but it was closed the day we arrived and the next day before we left, having to pay extra for parking is a turn-off. The guest does not have control of the AC because it appears the system is synchronized to the rest of the building. Overall we were not happy with this place and will not return to stay here.

First and foremost, there is a dress code here! I did not see that in any of the Expedia information or the hotel's webpage. I wish I would've known ahead of time. Thankfully, the dress code eases up on game days, so we were ok. The property was clean and classic. Room was small but served its purpose nicely. The shower was tiny! There was a lot of road noise outside our room (not anything the hotel has control over, but I'm pretty sure there was drag racing going on outside our room!) so I was really glad I had brought a fan for white noise. Quick, comfortable walk to Busch Stadium. The staff was incredibly friendly! We would stay here again.

A beautiful place to stay

Service was great! The common areas are beautiful. It is an older hotel, but the rooms were well furnished and charming. I deducted one star because the air conditioning was not very cool, but other than that it was all good.

Grand old hotel that is a step back in time. The hotel itself is worth exploring with its special spaces devoted to its history. Prime location within steps of Archway Park and less than half mile from Busch Stadium. But you don’t have to worry about walking to the latter because the hotel provides a shuttle to and from games. Walls are a bit thin in the rooms but they are comfortable and clean. Highly recommend it to anyone.
