It’s a beautiful old hotel. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. Larissa, who checked us in, was extremely helpful. She even went to the restaurant in the hotel next door to pick up dinner for us and brought it back to our room. That meant the world to me since I need to use a walker and arrived here worn out after a 10 hour long drive. Kudos to Larissa

Staying overnight at the Avalon is something we do whenever we are visiting the St. Pete area. It’s convenient and close to the Pier and Beach Drive. The rooms are clean but small. The lighting in the room we had was so dim we could hardly see and there was no lighting in the walk in closet which made it difficult to hang up and get clothing.

The staff was VERY kind when I had an issue with losing my phone/wallet. It was returned to the hotel after I checked out and they shipped it to me! SO grateful! Would definitely stay here again.

Avalon was a very quaint place to stay. The room on the first floor was small. Sink was outside the very small bathroom. No refrigerator. Location was great!! We were able to take the free shuttle a block away from Avalon. Make sure to get there early so you can get a secure parking spot. Service was amazing…very friendly people. Would score higher if it were less noisy and the room was a bit bigger/convenient.

Great location and unique hotel! However our room was very very dark and bathroom quite small with no storage, but it is a historic building and everything was clean. Didn’t like that there are no onsite staff past 11 pm. Would stay here again if in St Pete

The service was outstanding. The location is perfect, just a short walk to downtown St. Pete. Plus, the free parking was a huge bonus. The only downside for us was the bed; it wasn’t the most comfortable, but it didn't completely overshadow the great service and location. All in all, a solid choice for anyone visiting the area!

Fun St. Pete Hotel

Avalon is so cool! Loved the decor and the staff was very helpful. They have free coffee in the morning! Very nice vibe with a kitty cat that hangs around the front porch.

I had a fantastic experience at this boutique hotel! The staff and front desk were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel well taken care of from the moment I arrived. While the hotel itself is small, the level of service was top-notch. One of the highlights was the restaurant and bar at their sister hotel next door—great food and a wonderful atmosphere. My only regret is that I couldn’t stay longer. I’ll definitely be returning for another visit!

Room was front room over porch and outside guests. I could hear every word spoken as though they were in the room. Single pane windows. Door had to be slammed to close so I heard other guests slamming their doors in the night. I got no sleep due to street noise. Charming quickly turned to a bad experience.
