Stayed here for five nights with husband and toddler, for a little vacation. Excellent location right across from the beach, nice dining options and pool/hottub, and staff were very understanding when my son threw a fit in the lobby (more than once). Room was spacious and allowed us to keep and cook some food in the room instead of going to eat for every meal, but lots of dining options nearby as well!

We had a WONDERFUL stay at the Hyatt Regency. The resort was beautiful and comfortable and had great amenities. Complimentary champagne when you check in (grape juice for kids), 4 free water bottles per day, right across from ocean. The only two down sides were: one of the elevators on the south side was not working which made for LONG waits to go up and down stairs (we were on 11th, pool on 8th and rooftop hot tub on 16th, lobby on 1, parking on two LOL). The second was the pool not being heated. The first night we checked in the pool felt warm and had a great temp. The second day the pool was FREEZING. Plus the weather wasn't very nice (it wasn't the day before either) so we found no comfort in the water temperature. BUT OVERALL, we loved this resort and would definitely stay again!

Very close to the beach and nice staff…but, fire alarm went off the first night and we had to evacuate via stairs (false alarm, it had happened before according to other guests) and there was no comps for guests or even communication from staff.

Customer service is A at this property. Staff are very polite and responsive. Great location, steps from the beautiful white sand beach. We had a huge room with balcony ocean-view. Clean room, very comfortable bed. Plenty of restaurants to choose from in walking distance. We felt safe walking late at night. Great pool on the 8th floor. Free laundry was a plus. They supply bottled drinking water. Valet parking was $43 with tax per night. Resort fee was $40 with tax per night. Next time we visit, we won’t need a rental car as everything was walkable. Pricey hotel but you get what you pay for. We enjoyed our stay. We will book this hotel again. Highly recommended.

Overall our stay was great, room was great service was great. The only inconvenience was that one of the elevators was down and had to wait more the norm to go up or down

February 10-15, 2025 Weather was perfect! However we were disappointed that we were charged $35.00 for beach chairs and umbrella even though we paid the 39.99 Resort fee everyday which was supposed to cover the beach loungers. Also, the breakfast prices are steep at SHOR, so the "free breakfast" with coffee and juice will always run over the $30.00 breakfast allowance. The Music at the pool is Obscure EDM (electronic dance music). Not enjoyable or relaxing! I asked if they could change it to something else or to the same music they had playing out front the Hotel and was notified they can't & that the Asst Director of Operations was the only one who can change it. Out front they had a verity of regular music you would hear on the radio, all genre's. But for some reason it couldn't be played at the pool. Long story short- the music is terrible and really ruined the relaxing pool experience not just for us, but all the guests who were also bothered by it. On our second night, the fire alarm was activated at 10:30pm and again at midnight. We had to walk down 12 flights to evacuate only to be told it was a false alarm both times. Nothing but a text apology. Could have at least comped us an ice cream or something for the major fright & interruption. But nada. We had a King Suite and the room nice and roomy. Sofa was really stinky and really needed a good cleaning. I pulled out the extra blanket in the hall closet to cover the sofa and it was very ratty and filthy.

Almost perfect!

The only criticism I have is the you could feel every movement of your partner when tossing or turning, which for me can be irritating when trying to get to sleep. It didn’t bother my husband though.
